So, this is a very, very special birthday fic for [livejournal.com profile] nijawial. :D See, we have all these little jokes and crack ideas that we come up with, and a few have been requested as fics. This is one such request.

And oddly, about 80% of them involve South Park.

So Nija, this is for you. :D I hope you enjoy!

Title: Real Elves Suck
Fandoms: Halfblood Chronicles/South Park (yes, you read that right. :D)
Word Count: 2744
Rating: R for language

Warnings: Potty mouths, but not nearly as bad as you find on the actual show.

Author's Note: Kenny's dialogue in this fic is exactly like his on the show. He's actually saying real things, but they were run through an English-to-Kenny online translator. :D

Summary: If Kyle had learned one thing and one thing only, it was that Cartman's plans never worked out. Even when they did.

So, last night I was taken by the impulse to write Across the Universe fic. I just wanted to write a little trippy Max/Jude smut, that's all. Then I realized that if there was a fandom for the movie, then that's probably what made up most of it. So today I went looking!

Well, there is a fandom for it, and not a tiny one either. I assumed that since trippy Max/Jude smut wasn't a difficult scenario - PTB have confirmed a Max/Jude/Lucy love triangle - good fic wouldn't be hard to come by!

I should have remembered my original experience with the movie. Long story short, I ended up writing some trippy, dirty, psychedelic boy smut. :D

Title: September in the Rain
Fandom: Across The Universe
Pairing: Max/Jude
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Recreational drug use
Word Count: 1,567
Summary: Max loves the life in New York City, knows he was made for it and it was made for him. The sex, the drugs, the music...and Jude.

So, a long time ago, I believe it was [livejournal.com profile] yuuo who gave me a prompt for some Beyond Good and Evil fic. Since I hadn't beaten the game and was very shaky on canon, I had to decline. Well, when I beat the game the other day, Nija mentioned wanting to see fic, and I remembered 'hey, I totally was prompted to write some once but never did!'. But I decided to give it a try last night. As usual, standard first time fandom warnings apply. New to the characters, never done this before, etc etc.

Post-game!

Title: Everyday Heroes
Fandom: Beyond Good and Evil
Pairing: Hub/Jade
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 1276
Spoilers: Full Game
Summary: Jade has a great deal to rebuild, and Hub is always there to lend a hand....

Despite a shaky start to things Monday and the fact that my hip is experiencing epic problems, yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day.

[livejournal.com profile] summoneddestiny dropped by after work to hang out for a little while. We spent most of our time on our favorite subject: authors! And, subsequently, writing. I actually did overcome my writer's block a little to get some fic written last night. But mostly we discussed the ever-popular Mercedes Lackey - dissection of the specific cultures she's clumsily and ham-fistedly appropriated - and a hilarious comparison between Anne Rice and Stephanie Meyer. Interestingly enough, when dissecting their work side by side, there are some glaring and detailed similarities that can be eyebrow raising.

We grabbed a quick dinner, went into the square to take some pictures, and just had a relaxing afternoon. Then N came over for a little while, and we hung out on the porch having one of those meandering, deep thought type conversations. We somehow managed to start out on a very introspective discussion comparing and contrasting the philosophical schools of Jainism to Carvaka and end up on the archetypal symbolism of supporting characters in The Venture Bros.

I love my friends.

Then there was just vegging in front of the TV until [livejournal.com profile] nijawial got in and I very, very much needed to get to bed.

I've been hearing a lot about the new FMA series, but haven't been able to watch any of it. My computer doesn't have sound. I consider this a mixed blessing situation. ;)

I also got the bathroom entirely cleaned! And got to creep people out my showing them the effects of my deformed hip. :D It's just gotten to the point where my right leg is now significantly shorter than my left. I have to bend my left leg to stand properly, and when I straighten up I only stand on one foot. This amuses me - except for the pain in my hip, but I have stuff for that.

Title: Rebels Without a Clue
Fandom: Venture Bros
Pairing: Dermott/Hank
Rating: R
Word Count: 1983
Spoilers: Season 3 spoilers
Author's Note: This was originally supposed to be a tiny little thing for the VB kink meme, but the idea really grabbed me.
Summary: Some things Hank did because he wanted to be cool, some things Hank did because he was angry at his dad, and some things Hank did simply because he was a seventeen year old boy.

And...more fic! I don't know what's gotten into me, but my creative juices are flowing. A pity I have to go to my nephew's birthday party today, I think I could make some serious headway on my fic backlist!

Anyway, this was born out of two parts. Last night, as I was enjoying my Friday night pain relief, I ended up listening to a lot of David Bowie. (Which prompted other writing adventures, but I'm afraid those can't be shared.) Anyway, his cover of 'Across the Universe' came on. To my ears at that point, it sounded like bad karaoke. I mentioned this to [livejournal.com profile] nijawial while we were cleaning the porch, and made a joke about David Bowie getting drunk and performing bad karaoke, and she demanded a fic. It...turned out a lot different than I'd intended.

Why does this always happen? I have deadlines for original work, and when the plot ideas and story snatches come, it's for fan fiction. I'm positively buzzing with ideas this morning.

I watched Prisoner of Azkaban again last night, because it was on. [livejournal.com profile] nijawial was home this time, and watched it with me, and we had hilarious running commentary. And then, when we broke out the wine coolers, I dug out my Sirius Black poster and he's now looking over the living room from the prime spot above the couch. (Though once we find something else to go there, he's going to move to next to the front door, to be on a darker surface as Nija suggested.)

I have this bunny for a Silent Hill fic. It's just one that's going to take some thinking and tweaking to work, since it relies heavily on Henry getting stoned, and my general consensus for Henry re: drugs is: tried it a little in college, never really got into it, doesn't bother with it anymore.

But I was reading about people sharing their experiences with THC induced hallucinations, and got to thinking how that could really be something interesting to work with. Especially in a Silent Hill context. Which means it doesn't have to be Henry, he's just sort of my default when it comes to Silent Hill. ;) But I've never written Heather, and James is more of a booze hound than anything else.... (And I'll spare you my listing of every major SH character and my thoughts on them and drugs.)

On the other hand, I do have an idea for something I need to get submitted in April. Which means this is going to be another rush, but this will need rush editing. So I've got to bust my little butt on it. It only needs to be about 5,000 words, though.

Yay Monday.

I was a lazy bum yesterday. And since the internet was being such a pissy little bitch, I ended up just playing around on Sims and watching Adult Swim. I had a hell of a time getting to sleep last night, and I'm not sure why. I wasn't in very much pain, and I hadn't had much caffeine, but I just lay there thinking strange thoughts and writing that DN/SH fic in my head.

I've become recently very in favor of crossovers. It's a sad thing that they're so rarely done well. I'm still sad that the SG-1/HBC crossover I found was poorly done. It's a good, workable concept. We know so little about the portal/gate, only that it's round and in a cave under the earth, and when you feed power into it it gears up. It's not out of the realm of possibility to say it's a Stargate. And come on - get two dorky, geeky, intelligent characters who are into history and languages and things together in one room and I'm happy. :D

Speaking of, I have done a little on that HP/CM crossover I drabbled for [livejournal.com profile] talia_speaks. I don't think it's going to be canon compliant, because it seems to be heading in the direction of Reid/Hermione. Which is adorable and nerdy and awesome.

Hmm, I believe I promised [livejournal.com profile] chocomimi an HBC/Ouran crossover. I should work on that, too.

Apparently today is Crossover Babble Day. But hey, at least I'm branching out from just crossing everything over with Lovecraft? ;)

Oh holy sweet jeebus. This is my entry for the [livejournal.com profile] fmacrossover monthly challenge, and I think I broke my brain on it. I was hit with a sudden inspiration for it, and spent all my free time wrestling with Hohenheim's POV. You don't need to be familiar at all with Lovecraft or the Cthulhu mythos, as I relied heavily on FMA themes and ideas for this. But it is written in the style of Lovecraft's short stories, which is why it's in first person. And Lovecraft fans will recognize phrases/people/themes/artifacts from the mythos. This takes place in 1936, before the events detailed in 'The Dunwich Horror'.

This is it. My last [livejournal.com profile] 100_women fic. And the fact that it's my last weighed heavily on the theme of it. I couldn't pick a single woman for it, and so this spans 8, though one is absent in the fic itself. Anyway, yes. I'm done. There's no shiny completion banner, but I have the satisfaction of writing 100 fics about the wonderful women of FMA.
