Okay, so I was tagged to list the five fics I'm most proud of/are my favorites. Of all fics, ever. So here goes!
Leyna: Anyone who's been on my Flist since the beginning of the year probably knows that this is the fic I am most proud of. It's Fullmetal Alchemist, technically Scar/Lust, but really more Lust centric with some interaction between her and Scar. It's a movie AU, I guess you could say. It's rated R, it deals with a lot of issues including racism, drug use, prostitution and the extortion of glamour girls in 1920s Germany.
Summary: It was a time when sex and sin were the pastimes of rich and poor alike, jazz and booze flowed freely from dusk until dawn and nightlife was the only life worth living. Alone and far from home, Lust attempts to forge a life for herself in the middle of poverty, prostitutes and a dying country.
Necessity Is The Mother Of Affection: I tend to forget about this one, but it is definitely one of my favorites. Harry Potter, Snape/Lupin, written for one of those wedding challenges. It runs the gambit from humorous to touching to socially conscious.
Summary Challenge: Even more laws and regulations are made against werewolves, and Lupin's life is in danger. The only way to ensure his safety is to have him marry someone.
Bright Young Things: Fullmetal Alchemist, NC-17, Envy/Ed. Complete mind-fuckery, and probably one of the most difficult fics for me to write. Post series AU, very dark and just all kinds of twisted. And even somewhat consensual.
Summary: Of all the people that could have shown up on Ed's doorstep, he was the last Ed wanted to see. But he was
someone, and here and now, that was enough.
Like Ashes We Scatter: Babylon 5, Zack/Lyta, R, AU. Zack/Lyta is one of my ultimate OTPs. In fact, I think they were my first OTP. But despite being perfectly canon (in the sense that it's canon that they have feelings for one another) they're a damn difficult pair to write plausibly. Even ignoring Thirdspace - which this fic does. But still, I love them together. I fudged with the EU for this, since... yes.
Summary: It had been ten years, and she was still ignoring the pieces she most needed to pick up and put back together.
Therapy - link thanks to
claripup. Harry Potter, Snape/Lupin, humor, PG-13. I think that's probably the fic I'm most known for in that fandom. I loved writing it, I love going back and reading it (when I can find it), and I'm just really pleased with it. I even see quotes from it floating around, and that makes me all kinds of happy.
Summary: In the wake of the war, Dumbledore thinks it's high time that Severus Snape deal with some of his issues once and for all. By seeing a therapist.
And those are five fics I am extremely proud of and love very much. And this has been my break from All Kinds of Crap.
