No Good Deed Goes Unpunished....
Oct. 21st, 2008 12:06 pmWhile I am pleased with all the work on getting the house and shed up to snuff, the days and days of busting my ass have caught up with me. I'm sick. I woke up extremely stuffy and full of drainage, and it hasn't gone away like it normally should. Head is fuzzy and packed with cotton, body aches, you know the drill. Sickness has come to the House of Venture. :(
I think I'm going to take care of a couple little things that I put off, and then just veg on the couch and watch movies until I'm feeling well enough to post and things. This is seriously piss poor timing for this. :/
In better news, we have some lovely new furniture we scared up at the local VA Thrift store. A gorgeous solid oak coffee table (10$) two lovely old wooden chairs for the shed (10$ for the set) and a beautiful Japanese lamp. Plus I picked up an old vintage movie poster (Phantom of the Opera) and a Led Zeppelin black light poster for the shed - not from the thrift store, but still.
summoneddestiny dropped by last night, and we ended up making a run to the mall. It was a good run. And epic, epic hilarity was had, as always. I'm pretty sure some of our conversations had an effect on my dreams last night... ;)
So at least the hard work is paying off, and I'm not sick for nothing. And I do have leftover cheeseburger bacon feast pizza in the fridge, and potato soup in the cabinet. And three newly rented movies.
Moo cow go boom.
