Not done, but getting there. I finished setting up my makeshift 'media center', and now I'm organizing crap and bringing things from the bedroom to display in the living room.

As I was moving action figures, my dad came down on his way to the garage and looked it over, and asked about where I was putting what.

I told him my original FFVII figures were going on one tower, and my Cowboy Bebop story figures were going on the other. He looks it over, nods, and then asks:

"But where's Sephiroth going to go?"

Because apparently Sephiroth is so cool, he can't languish unseen in the bedroom. So I moved my cable box back and put Sephiroth on one side of the box, and since D is about the same height with his stand, D will go on the opposite.

I'm tempted to position them with their swords out and aimed at each other.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've so far moved all my anime (I had a lot more than I thought I did, and half these DVDs have never even been opened), all my series boxed sets (Highlander, Lost, Kingdom Hospital, Criminal Minds, Harsh Realm, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Buffy, Legend of Zelda), all my movies, and a selection of comics, trades and manga. Oh, and I found my original Star Wars boxed set - the very first boxed set ever released, after Return of the Jedi was on VHS. I doubt the tapes are even watchable anymore, but still.
My living room is really shaping up. I need to get rid of this Osprey picture hanging over my couch. Which means getting one of my Ruth Thompson prints framed and hung in its place. I've got 'Shores of Avalon' and 'Howl'....
Once I'm done with this tower, I'm grilling that panini my mother grabbed for me this morning. Because I'm beat.
Update on the DVD situation!
We went to Hastings. I got my gifts, and my folks decided instead of trying to find what I would want, to just have me pick out stuff. And they wanted to be sure they got me the right DVD set, so I took them over to the TV boxed sets cabinet. I'm looking at the 'Cs', and my mother, again, while she has her list in hand, points out all the CSI seasons.
I repeat again, it is not CSI I'm looking for, it's Criminal Minds.
"But they have a lot of CSI DVDs...."
*headdesk*
I do not like CSI. I've tried to watch it, can't get into it. I do not want CSI. It's like Green Eggs and Ham, I swear. I will not watch it eating pie, I will not watch it with a spy, I will not, will not watch CSI.
Anyway! Finally find Season 2 of Criminal Minds on DVD. For 20$. My dad starts arguing that I wanted season 1. Yes, but season 2 is just as awesome - moreso, in some ways - and it's the only one they have, and it's only 20 bucks. For like 7 DVDs. We get it. I pick out a couple of other things - Wit and Wisdom of Discworld, the next Dresden Files novel - and we head over to the anime section because my dad said I could get the first two special edition Death Note DVDs. I am thrilled. They come with action figures! I need these DVDs! Or, at least the action figures that come with them!
Hastings doesn't have them. I am broken and defeated. Best Buy didn't have them. We looked everywhere we possibly could for them, and could not find them anywhere. They have them online, but I cannot buy online. I am just going to hope that they're still available after Christmas, when I have my new bank account set up.
But! The local Hasting's inability to properly price any import action figure has paid off yet again. Found a couple of Kotubukiya limited edition figures that I see going on Ebay for around 100$ for 12$ each. I grabbed them and will be selling them. Mmm, profit. And yet...their overstocked Bome figures are still going for 40$. WTF, Hasting's? WTF? (There was a 1985 limited edition Bunny Girl for only 25$, but I didn't like the composition and pose. And the Bunny Girls are cheap at cons, I can probably find it for like 10$, like all the other Bunny Girls I have.)
Now it is time to wrap! OH! THAT REMINDS ME!
[livejournal.com profile] anna_daae, [livejournal.com profile] nijawial, [livejournal.com profile] talia_speaks, [livejournal.com profile] chocomimi, Seattle Crew! I need your addresses!
Email them to me, please? ladyfeylene at gmail dot com. I need them ASAP, as I am mailing stuff out tomorrow! Locals, not quite as ASAP, obviously, and there's a chance I'll see you guys before Xmas, but everyone else! Addresses!
A follow-up to my post about [livejournal.com profile] landels_damned.
This is just a link to the Requested Characters page. I figured I'd link it to give some folks who may be interested but not sure who to apply for some ideas.
Also, if any Firefly fans on my Flist are reading this, please take a look. We're looking for a Wash, so if you're a Wash fan and you enjoy writing him, give us a look please. :D We already have River, Inara and Kaylee in play, and rumor has it we're getting quite a few more Firefly applications.
Wow, I never thought I'd be making a post like that!
Also, personally, I am dying to see more anime-canon homunculi. Especially Envy. Or more Ouran characters. We've just got Tamaki and Haruhi.
So, yes. And, to make this a bit more than just another RPG pimp:
As everyone knows by now, I love action figures. Would anyone be interested in action figure reviews? Because I always am tempted to post them, and then think 'dude, who wants to read me babbling about the detail and quality of plastic toys?'.
