Last night's Venture Bros: best episode ever, or best episode ever?

Holy crap, that was awesome. I know a lot of people are getting tired of 'backstory' episodes, but this is exactly the stuff I love. (The animation also seemed to be particularly good last night - crisper and brighter.

Unfortunately, my dog decided that right in the middle would be the best time to wake up and need to go outside, and cause a ruckus in the yard making me go outside to see what she'd gotten into. So I think I may have missed something important....

Anyway, many apologies to people who were trying to get a hold of me last night! Sunday nights I kind of fall off the face of the internet and my computer gets turned off sometime between 9 and 10.

And now I need to haul ass and start moving boxes to the garage, to make more room in my room. I also got a little of my workroom packed.

Oy, I haven't even been up an hour and already I have a headache.

So, D sent me an email, letting me know there were a bunch of new Death Note fics on ff.net that revolved around/were inspired by Another Note. Since I don't really read DN fic unless it's written by someone I know or revolves around Naomi, I decided I'd wander over and check them out.

I'm not sure why I did this, because a vast majority of DN fic makes me want to hit the authors over the head with a good psychology book.

Whew, I feel better!

I had really bizarre Death Note/Venture Bros dreams last night. L was some sort of....super hero/genius thingy, and Light was his arch, and he went by the name Death God, and there was all sorts of bizarre stuff going on.

I'm also once more severely confused as to days, because when I turned on AS at 11:30 last night to watch Shin Chan, Venture Bros were on instead, making me panic and wonder how the hell it got to be Sunday so quickly. Oh, AS, you never fail to give me a moment's confusion when I forget to check your scheduling ahead of time.

talia_speaks linked me to the UPS site where I can get free boxes! So I put in an order, and within a week, should have plenty of boxes for packing. I'm thinking today it's time for my stuffed things and plushies to go into a large bag. SPEAKING OF! I found my Munich Ed plushie. He'd been stuffed into an obscure compartment of my duffel bag, not killed by plushie!Light as we had assumed. And plushie!Near is doing a very good job of keeping Light in line, so Ed should be perfectly safe.

Oy, I stayed up far too late last night. I'm struggling to get myself up and going now. I've got some boxes I'm going to start filling, and nijawial, I have more news! My dad's giving us his un-used 32 inch TV.

I'm not looking forward to the packing, because I have so much stuff. And much as I'm very used to packing my life into boxes, it's never exactly fun. But my folks are taking me down to the Pub tonight for drinks, and I guess they plan on some big huge epic family outing to celebrate next week, as my sister had some very good news for us all today, too.

It's ridiculously rare that things go well for both of us at the same time. Usually it's one or the other, or things suck for us both. I need to call her when I'm more awake.

I need to do a lot of things when I'm more awake, but right now my dad's making me breakfast and I have a giant homemade mocha next to me, and I'm just trying to get myself functioning.

Someday I'll finish my 30_lemons claim. Maybe I ought to skip 'the sexuality of terror'. I'm at a loss as to how to handle that for L and Naomi.

OH! ALSO!

damned_cafe Superlatives are tallied and posted, and a few of my boys came away with wins!

Tamaki is the resident Drama King!
Valyn is the resident Stick In the Mud!
And Citan is...well himself. (Most likely to take advantage of everyone he meets.)

And Roy and Hughes got Best Friends, and Ed/Tamaki tied for Cutest Couple!

Oh, and Mr. Radio got one, and for the ultimate....Martin and Jack tied. How fitting, that even in these things, they're at one another's throats. ;)

And it was really interesting to see such a variety of characters, which proves once again that the fandom your character is from doesn't matter! Lots of little and more obscure fandoms were represented, along with the big ones!

I wanted to make little buttons for people to put in their userinfo, but I just didn't have the time. I should have done it the other day, when I was talking to Nija about it, but I got busy and...yes.

Speaking of, I should really have my breakfast, call my sister, and get started on organizing crap for my big move!
