On Movies and Why My Day Was Very Stressful

So, is it just me, or are all the big budget fantasy movies that have come out in the last couple of years just...film adaptations of books? And the trend is clearly continuing. Not that I'm exactly complaining, it'd just be nice to see something original. I would like to catch Stardust, though - which is what prompted this post in the first place. But it would still be nice to see a big budget, original fantasy movie.

Not that original movies are all that common these days in any genre.

That said, the commercials for the live action Underdog movie? Hurt me. Hurt me badly. I grew up on Underdog. That? Is not Underdog. By any stretch of the imagination.

It's raining like fuck, and I'm feeling it everywhere. As, I imagine, is my youngest niece, who broke her elbow today. She fell off her bike and twisted it. It was a very, very hectic day. Lenna was home, at least, but still a very hectic and stressful day.

I can't sleep. I'm going to read for a bit. The irony? I'm reading Insomnia.
