Nov. 2nd, 2004 01:11 pmValentine Pelka should seriously consider writing. That man has an amazing way with words and descriptive imagery. The Staircase was a beautifully written piece of fiction, and could easily have been read out of context.
Peter Wingfield disturbs me. In Time of Innocents left a bad taste in my mouth.
Books I Got Out of the Library Yesterday
An Evening at Joe's, edited by Gill Horvath and Bill Panzer
A New Spring, Robert Jordan
American Gods, Niel Gaiman
In Camelot's Shadow, Sarah Zettel
Dante's Equation, Jane Jensen
And an anthology of horror stories by well known authors.
If anyone has read any of the above and has any words of warning or recommendation, feel free to pass them on. I'll be reading A New Spring first, since I've been meaning to read it for ages. I think it's time for me to reread the whole series, actually.
