I rarely ever get plot bunnies for fan fiction outside of the HP genre. This could be because I don't read anything online outside the HP genre. When I do get bunnies, it's a very rare occurrence and is usually exorsized in drabbles. Every so often I get hit with a bit of inspiration and it just won't leave me alone. This particular piece hit me while I was putting way dishes, and it really wants to be a fic, but I don't know if I have it in me to write it, since it would span...erm....hundreds of years. So I've smushed it down into 100 words!
Lenna, please don't hurt me.
Title: Mistake: Repeated
Fandom: Highlander
Pairing: Kronos/Methos
Rating: R
There is the scent of blood and sweat and sex. They’re scents that walk hand in hand with the desert and fur and the dry leather of caravan tents. But now they permeate concrete and metal, old world scents in new world trappings. It’s a bed that he lies on now, not a heap of fur and skins. But the man beside him is the same, as is the hand that moves along his back, and the stirring in his blood.
It is the nature of humans to desire what is bad for them. Even time cannot teach human nature.

If I felt I at all had the character voices down, I'd write an actual fic.

Honestly, right now, that's the only pairing that appeals to me.

You say that like it's a bad thing. The pairing if fascinating, you have a lot to play with, and you'd write it well. Come on, keep the fandom alive!

I so totally blame Peter Wingfield for all of this. :/
