Bad Slash, No Cookie

In my travels through slashdom, I have discovered some very disturning things. The most fresh in my mind is a story involving Severus Snape receiving a blow job from a house elf. I can't help but wonder 'why?' What would be the appeal of *writing* something like that? Other hall of famers include Hagrid raping Dumbledore with his umbrella in a field full of dead students, and Ron being raped by the giant squid.

Why? Why, why, why? I can understand if people have slightly deviant turn ons...I enjoy reading smut stories that involve Remus in werewolf form. But...the giant squid? It boggles my mind. I cannot imagine anyone finding that arousing. Maybe it's just me. I also cannot imagine anyone enjoying reading a fic that involves Hagrid and Dumbledore, no matter how they're getting it on.

Anyway, that's all that's new. Save for some feelings of anger towards a moderator for some *very* upsetting actions. ::grumbles::
