So, I snagged Kimbley/Lust for
fma_fuh_q. I like the comm, as it challenges me to push my own boundaries. I step outside my normal pairings and write things I wouldn't normally write. Though I have been planning Kimbley/Lust for a while, this was just a good excuse for it.
Holy crap, but this turned out easy to write. I didn't think I'd be done with it so soon. And my beta is not here! Woe.
Word of warning for when I post it: it is
very, very graphic. Probably one of the more graphic things I've ever written, and possibly disturbing due to Kimbley's psychopathic nature. He's a sick and twisted man. I pushed my own comfort zones here, and all in all I'm happy with it. My Scar!Muse is not. In fact, he's very much pissed off about it and I shall have to write some Scar/Lust to appease him. ;)
Speaking of: I have another Leyna-verse fic in the works. A couple, actually. One of the things I love about this AU verse is that it allows me to explore the fluffier, cuter side of Scar/Lust. That's just not possible in canon. But with this, writing them established and together for a while, I can work with them being at ease with each other. Plus, you know, I can combine my two favorite pairings. I really want to go back and write the bit where the relationship between Scar and Lust and Ed and Al first started. Since in 'Ever Changing, Ever the Same', a pretty firm friendship had already been built up. Mostly between Scar/Lust and Al, but clearly Ed is comfortable enough with them to tease them and be his general bratty self. And he had no issue crashing with them for a week, and they certainly didn't mind having the Elrics crashing with them for a week. Despite Lust's grumblings about having to do more housework and cooking. Not that she does much of that
anyway.
Which is why Ed cooked while they were visiting, and Scar got to eat actual home cooked meals.I also wonder if Ed and Al were at their wedding. Since they obviously get married at some point. It would have to be before they immigrated, though, since ECEtS was the first time Ed and Al visited the country. And at this point, this is just me thinking out loud.
Today has been blah, but at least the weather's nice.
