Tomorrow night I will be out under the stars by the beautiful Verde River (don't snicker, those who are familiar with the Verde)! I had really wanted to be able to get out Saturday night, as it's the turning of the season, plus a full moon. Terribly auspicious circumstances, that, for the Vernal Equinox. And then we found out that the moon is going to be the closest it's been to the earth in over 20 years, and it will be a spectacular night!
Obviously, the only choice was to go out camping to fully welcome the coming of spring and the seasons of life and bounty. We're disperse camping, which should be wonderful. Privacy, nature, plenty of good food and fine drinks, and lots and lots of properly celebrating spring in the old fashioned way. ;) I already stocked up on brats, bacon, potatoes, fruit and eggs. Plus plenty of water, tea and juice. The camping utensils are soaking now, and I really ought to send the camping blankets and whatnot through the wash. This is why I'm starting now, instead of tomorrow morning.
And then, in three weeks, we're heading up to the hot springs! This early in the season there shouldn't be too many other people up there, and camping for my birthday is already a tradition.
Trying to upload some of the Rite of Luna music, but having a little connection problem. Going to zip some and see about uploading that! I also need to either find my Ipod or get it on
husband_brother's phone. Which is also an MP3 player. Oh, technology!
