People Couldn't Believe What I'd Become....

Yesterday was very much a roller coaster of great and suck, that left me dirty, sore, exhausted and not in the best of moods. But Andrea and Cody came over, and there was much hilarity and geekiness, and even though I was once more up until around 3 AM, it was nice to wind down with friends after a hellishly busy day.

Today had just been weird. Internet was out for most of it, so I went on a cleaning spree. I'm still in the middle of it, but internet is back for a bit - the area's having issues - so I figured I'd toss up a post.

I won't bother with all the little oddities of the day, but the strangest would have to be sitting down to my computer to see if the net was back and discovering a lizard, perched on my keyboard, simply staring at me.

I picked him up and put him in a little tupperware thing, showed Nija, and then released him outside. How he has managed to live inside the house and wander all over the living room and kitchen without us noticing, we have no idea.

We found more crap yesterday - mostly disturbing and dirty shit. Old car parts, old moldy clothes, etc. But we did find a box of crystals and 13 slabs of Italian marble tile.

Between cleaning, I've been working on putting together a Valyn/Shadow FST. Which is hard. I have three songs. So chaneystarr, chocomimi, ranchangrnl, if you can think of any, let me know!

I can't believe it's Thursday already.

Where the hell did the day go?

It's after five o'clock already! And we have a Wind Advisory in effect until 11:45 tonight - wind could get up to 55 MPH. Wonderful.

I did a lot of cleaning. I also started some apple butter, which is in the crock pot now. summoneddestiny and enigmablade gave us a crock pot, and I'm finally breaking it in! Soon the house will smell of apples and cinnamon! And not industrial strength cleaning products!

I'm also exhausted. I can't seem to wake up properly, and am tempted to venture out for another damn java mocha espresso drink thing. I still need to scrub the shower and tub. And take out trash. And vacuum. And I'm contemplating doing the kitchen floor. Sometimes I just get overwhelmed by these urges to clean and cook. I'm in the grips of one right now.

I also am going to try and write some fic tonight. I have Oktoberfest plus my 30_lemons claim, and ideas floating around for an episode-style Venture Bros Halloween fic. Maybe one of those will work for me.
