And once more, I overhauled my LJ. It took me all of five minutes, but I'm quite happy with it. :D Brock Fucking Sampson all the way.

Didn't end up playing 0rigins at all last night. [livejournal.com profile] nijawial and I got to talking Venture Bros, and she mentioned she'd only really seen the two episodes she saw with me and bits and pieces of the first half of the finale, but was interested in seeing more. So, being the ever attentive friend I am, I sat her down and we mini-marathoned from the beginning. ;) Got through Dia de Los Dangerous! up to...I believe Ghosts of the Sargasso. And then we realized it was around 1 AM and we needed to sleep.

Going to be taking Nija home, and then getting back to packing! I'll be at my sister's this weekend, and then Tuesday is the house viewing and holy crap where has time gone?

I should grab breakfast and get dressed!

If I wanted to pluck my chicken before I cooked it, I'd buy one with the feathers still on.

Why the hell is someone sending me a bunch of invitations to Twilight writing communities? I'm pretty sure the only things I've ever mentioned about that series in my LJ are regarding my niece and how happy I am that she's not falling into the trap so many of her age group are in regards to taking certain aspects far too seriously, and that I felt badly for my friends who were let down by the ending. (I also got a form letter request to join a bunch of random writing communities, but at least that one had some non-specific fandom comms. Still extremely bizarre, but slightly less bizarre than someone sending me a mass of Twilight comm invites.)

Randomly PMing a stranger and demanding in broken text speak that they update fics that haven't been touched in half a decade does not endear you to absolutely anyone. I wish people would pay attention to dates, or at the very least read my info page. It says right there 'if you're looking for Harry Potter fan fic, sorry, not in the fandom any longer'.

Randomly PMing a stranger and demanding in haughty tones that they haven't written anything in a few months and you're very displeased does also not endear you to anyone. Nor does complaining that you're very hurt that a fic author has stopped writing lots of slash, and you wish they'd stop writing het and femslash and get back to the 'good stuff'.

What the hell, internet? I have to go away from everything for a while and this is what you pull? This makes me not want to come back!

But it did all remind me I need to get extensions for my claims. Maybe I can get some work done on fics tonight....

Holy fuck I finally did it!

A few people know how damn difficult it's been for me actually write L and Naomi actually having sex, despite many, many attempts. I first started trying to smut them about a year ago, and it's taken me this long to actually manage to write a full on penetrative sex scene between the two of them. L just...doesn't lend himself well to sex scenes. And I honestly didn't expect this to have actual sex when I started...um...way back when. But I remembered I'd started prompts 3 and 4, and needed to post something for [livejournal.com profile] 30_lemons, so decided to see which I could finish while I waited for my laundry to dry. And here's what came of it. :D

Title: We Are The Normal
Fandom: Death Note
Pairing: Naomi/L
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 2,718
Author's Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] 30_lemons, challenge #4 'The Thrill of the Forbidden'
Summary: Naomi can't separate the legend from the man it surrounds - even in bed.
