Book Babble

zinjadu has officially created a monster. I'm 2,000 words into my Crossover Of Doom, and the main antagonist hasn't even come close to showing up. And I find myself amazed, even as I write, at how well this is working. And no, I am not telling anyone what is being crossed over with what. It shall be a surprise!

I am settling back into my routine pretty quickly. I slept well last night, and did laundry and whatnot today. I've been clearing off my old computer, and moving music onto this one. It is a slow task, but shall be worth it!

Reading 'When the Bough Breaks', by Mercedes Lackey. Yes, yes, it's a SERRAted Edge series book. I read 'Wheels of Fire' a while ago, and liked it. This one.... not so much. I don't know, the psychology doesn't make much sense to me and Maclyn is a kind of sucky main character. He's very blagh and cliched, and the romance is so unrealistic. I liked the main character in Wheels of Fire better. I could go on and on, but then I realize I'm critiquing a series about elves who drive race cars which are really their horses shape-shifted to look like race cars and wander away before I get a headache.

I want to read the rest of the Last Herald series thought.
