Reviews and Gentlemen Explorers
Jan. 13th, 2006 10:07 amI love reviews. I got one of the most bizarre yesterday:
'...yay coupling!'
Nope, I don't understand it either. Yes, there was a sentence beforehand but it doesn't really shed any light on 'yay coupling'. I think coupling = sex. There was no sex in this story. There was some steamy kissing, but that was about it.
And I also got one of the best. I dub this one the best because it read as though written by an elderly british gentleman in explorer gear, and I could just picture him sitting at his desk by firelight, penning this review as the heads of his big game trophies looked on. It had phrases such as 'jolly well done, my good friend! and "I do hope you're blessed with further inspiration my dear author!' and other phrases in that vein. It made me happy. Lots of things made me happy last night, like
zinjadu and
mikazuki and mint chocolate.
I want more reviews written as though by an elderly british gentleman explorer. Because I've realized I have this strange obsession with gentleman explorers/big game hunters. I have no idea where it came from, but it's something I realized when I was writing the last Hohenheim/Trisha fic and Hohenheim got to be a gentleman adventurer. I've also written Igor Karkaroff, Albus Dumbledore and Methos as gentlemen explorers.
I really should clean today.
