Yeah, I'm with Pratchett on this one. If JK honestly couldn't figure out her books were fantasy before they were published, there's some serious issues going on. And I'm sorry, but what Pratchett does with the genre is far more creative, clever, witty, original and riddled with much more social commentary. He's a genius, she's just an author with a good idea and a whole lot of luck.

Massive Weekend Post!

Posted another drabble over at blond_azkaban. Last one for the challenge month, as tomorrow begins August.

Speaking of, my peterficathon fic should be ready to post this week. I really lucked out with my assignment.

Also, I've started working on my erotic_elves Fantasy Fest Fic. This is going to be one I really enjoy writing, I can already tell. I love working from Ron's POV, and now we've got Ron POV + hot smut.

Saw The Island last night with lennaofmidearth. Awesome, awesome movie. I always enjoy sci-fi movies that deal with the ethics of technology/medicine, and this one didn't disappoint. It was gripping, balanced the action and explanation very nicely, and had a very well put together cast. Some parts were a bit graphic and I had to look away from, but they were squick specific and over all the blood-and-guts bits were handled very well. I definitely advise seeing it.

Tonight we're going out for Chinese - which I've been craving - and when we get in I have a post to make with eyeoftheshackle.

Also, I'm joining a new GJ RPG. All Our Yesterdays: A Marauders Era Post-Hogwarts game. I have Snape and Lily, and it looks like it's going to shape up into a great game. I can vouch for the talents of all the players signed up right now, and there are a ton of positions open.

And, as always, plenty of positions still open at Infusco Bonitas. We just got a new - and extremely talented! - Percy player, but are still looking for tons of characters. And with major plots just starting to shape up, now is a great time to join!
