(no subject)

Yesterday was good. rivendellrose, zinjadu and I made beef stew (and oh what beef stew it was!) and hung out for a while, then headed over to a friend's house to watch a bit of Escaflowne. I forgot how much I loved that series. And to be able to see it in its original form.... sadly, we had to leave early. But it was good to see peoples, even for just a short time.

Then we headed back to the apartment and Kari and I chatted while Jen caught up on some reading. At midnight we willingly submitted ourselves to horrific torture: Full Metal Alchemist: Dubbed and on Cartoon Network.

My biggest issues were Ed's voice and the fact that nearly all the dialogue was changed. A lot of the nuances and subtleties were lost, and this made me very sad. We couldn't watch the whole thing, for the pain.

Kari then recommended a few more animes to me, and there was much discussion of Fruits Basket and the Wheel of Time series.

Speaking of...does anyone know if the comic is out already? Rumour has it that it is....
