I was thinking about obscure pairings this morning. Everyone likes at least one obscure pairing. And by obscure, I mean random. Two characters that at first glance you wouldn't think would work well together. Or that seem to have absolutely nothing to do with one another in canon.

My obscure pairing of choice is Remus/Draco. I've found a few authors who've done it where it worked well(switchknife immediately comes to mind), and I did that whole series for the bottom_draco FQF. I see Draco as being very dependant (he hangs off of his father in the books) and Remus as very responsible. In the right situations, the pairing can work.

So what are your obscure pairings? Why do you like them? What got you into them? What are some reccomendations for fics featuring the pairing?
