Writing Meme!
Sorry I wasn't around this weekend! I ended up away from my computer longer than I thought I would. I'm fine, and now back home and back to my regular schedule.

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or what have you, post exactly one sentence (or more) from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favorite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).
Woman Of Constant Sorrow - Drama/Action
It had been a damn strange day. But any day that started with a naked woman on the doorstep was going to be strange, really.
Among Unknown Stars - Action/Adventure/Mystery
In that moment, alone in the silent quarters, he was suddenly afraid. Gone was the cocky, confident, abrasive young man who bribed bar tenders and had once fought unspeakable horrors with his bare hands. Now he was just a scared teenager with no one to turn to, and the weight of the galaxy was crushing down on him as though it wanted to break him. He hugged the sheet to him, curling in on his own body and hating himself even as he did so.
Untitled
I am not ashamed to admit that this stranger, whom we met at every turn, frightened me some. What did he want? And why did he hound our steps as it appeared? I could see him only as a foe, and I wished to be well rid of him.
School Boy Crush - Romance/angst
We’re too different. I can’t take any more of this. You drive me mad, Tamaki, and you turn my life into a mockery of what it should be. You’re a buffoon who doesn’t even realize he’s a fool, and I can’t bear one more moment of your presence. You turn everything I know and believe in upside-down, and the worst part of it is… you make me feel alive. You leave me a nervous wreck, you make me angry in ways no one else can, and I think I would happily go mad at your side. And I can’t. Please leave me be.
Foreign Wonders (or, The Giant Hole In the Ground) Adenture/Romance
Sometimes, Ed wondered what it was like to see the world through Alphonse’s eyes. Al, who saw wonder and beauty in everything. Al who could sit silently for an hour and watch the dawn creep across the sky. Al who laughed at butterflies, who played barefoot in fountains, who watched the world with bright and awe-stricken eyes. Sometimes, Ed wished he could feel half as alive as his brother.
Untitled - Action/Romance
Beyond the electrified barrier were creatures of nightmare horror. As the evening fell, the sounds that blew in from the open plains were fearsome enough to turn a grown man's blood to chill. Dimension ripping beasts, dungeon beetles, basilisks, chimeras, all manner of horror prowled the land between sundown and sun up. The doctor stood some ways inside the barrier, his glasses in hand as he watched the beautiful young girl who sat on a perch above the barrier, her eyes trained on the plains. In a world where the strongest and fastest feared to set foot out of their homes at night, she sat and watched the creatures that moved beyond the safety of her property with a strange sort of waiting calm.
What was it she was looking for?
Yeah, these are from all over. And nope, I'm not telling you anything about them other than what I've posted. Though some are pretty obvious... ;)

*squees at Ed and Al* And that last one sounds interesting..
Damn, I wish I was writing stuff and could do this. :/ *snuzzles*

*luffs on Ed and Al and their adventures across America* The last one is... a pain in my ass. Because when I write for books, I try and immitate the style of the author, and the original author has this bizarre 50s pulp fiction-esque style. It was once described as 'immitating a Lovecraft that's trying to immitate Dickens'.
*smooches* I wish you were writing, too, because I love reading your stuff. *licks*

Hehe. Aw, I see.. hm.. wow, it does sound a bit complicated. *smooch*
*cuddles* I know.. well, maybe this week I will write some things, since I seem to have acquired too much free time.. bleh.

I have all sorts of plans for all kinds of places I want them to visit. The research is sort of a pain, but this one is working with things I know quite a bit about! :D And yes, oh yes. But I'm trying different styles, just to play around with them. I'm working on a fic right now that's an immitation of just plain Lovecraft, and it's driving me batty. Also, it's plot driven and first person from Hohenheim's POV. Apparently I feel the need to strain my brain.
Yay! *licks* Oh?

Oh, cool.. I can't wait to read it. :) Well, trying new styles is good. Heheh.. and yes, apparently you do. *cling*
I'll try! *smooch* Eh.. I kinda/sorta wrote about it. And I'm kinda/sorta worried about it. I didn't think it would happen so soon. :/

*hugs* Ah yeah, I just saw and commented. I can understand being worried about it, but hopefully more free time will be better in the long run. *hugs*

I should really do this, but when I start a story I usually force myself to finish it before continuing on to the next one. I have a few unfinished stories, but they're ones I'll never post! ;)

Ah, yeah, I tend to do... a lot. I didn't even remember to post a snippet from one of them, but it would be hard anyone since it's one giant AU PWP.
