My Sewing Machine Pwns Me

I am going to fucking beat the next person who tells me using a sewing machine is easy. :/

The damn thing somehow came unthreaded and I didn't realize. So I keep jamming my bobbin. And of course, my mother got all pissed at me like it's somehow my fault I can't read the water and smoke damaged owners manual that assumes you already know all the terms and doesn't bother to explain them.

I did, at least, get the pattern cut out alright. It looks like it's supposed to and everything. The fabric is kind of blah - brown checked - but this is just practice and I'll just be happy if it doesn't look like a sack with arms.

Using a sewing machine is NOT EASY! I've been sewing for about 7 years now, and I work at a costumers shop, and I still fuck up sometimes! Only reason I know how to do anything is just trial and error. My suggestions, are just to go slowly and meticulously and be absolutely sure that it's where you want the seam to go before you sew. Other than that, Good luck hun. I remember my first dress was an ugodly creation, that got be extra credit in english class.

I can't sew for the life of me. I have not touched a sewing machine in a long, long time. I am not under any illusions that I could use one without practice/training.
