Ed/Al Drabble

I was working on my RO thingy, and was bunnied with this drabble. Just a small little thing, but I am rather pleased with it.

Title: Like Home

Summary: Edward watches as the scenery blurs by outside the train window, but his mind is somewhere else.



The train rolled along, puffing and chugging as trains were wont to do. The scenery outside blurred; pastoral vistas and arcadian views. The trees were thick with leaves, verdant and vibrant in the afternoon sun. Somewhere in the distance, light reflected off of water.

Edward Elric sighed, his chin on his right fist and his elbow nestled between the seat back and the window. Alphonse lay stretched out, head in Edward’s lap. Edward’s bare left hand threaded through his brother’s short hair.

“Almost looks like home,” he said, idly.

“Brother,” Alphonse responded, brown eyes soft and wide. “This is home.”

I like the movie for a handful of reasons. 1) Lots of very touching Ed/Al moments. 2) Al. 3) Ed and Al ending up together. Heee, it was my first FMA pairing and will always be a very special pairing to me. :D
