More Ramblings
I had a rather nostalgic night last night.
My spine decided it wanted to be a fiery column of agony while I was trying to go to bed, and ignored medication altogether. So I needed something to occupy myself rather than lying in bed mentally griping.
I used to tape television shows. I was obsessive about it. I have so many tapes it isn't even funny. And most of them are unlabeled. Most of them are Hercules and Xena. There's a fair amount of Star Gate, however, and Star Trek as well. I grabbed an unlabeled tape last night, rewound it to the begininning, and pressed play.
It was Seaquest.
Watching that show brought back a lot of memories. I remember sitting at my kitchen table, fighting with the antenna to get it to come in. I wouldn't miss it. I was so angry when it was cancelled, but at that point it wasn't even Seaquest anymore.
I forgot how good Sam Raimi was in that show. I love Sam Raimi. One of the highlights of my geeky little life was being able to sing the Joxer Song on stage with him at a convention.
Lucas can so kick Wesley Crusher's ass. I actually had a dream that involved the two of them last night.
lovelies and
madammalfoy were there, too, and Colonol O'Niel from Stargate and Bill Weasley.
Jesus Trevino directed an episode of everything.
Sam Jenkins is hot. Kevin Sorbo is a lucky man.
Being blown up by aliens was so not a fitting end for Wendy.
Is it just me, or was there some weird Ford/Lucas subtext going on?
Babylon 5 still has the best psychic orginization ever.
I'll probably be in bed a good chunk of today. And I will probably watch more Seaquest while I'm at it.
I wonder whatever happened to my Lucas action figure.....
