I was trying to be different and not do Scar/Lust like always, but maybe the universe it telling me I should have just asked for that. ^_^

Mei was the little Chinese girl who was hanging out with Scar, but if that doesn't spark any ideas, I'd suggest switching to Lust/Scar.

Hahaha, yeah, I've never read the manga, so that means nothing to me. SORRY! But here is some Lust/Scar! AU, alter!verse!

The concept of New Year's was foreign to Lust. She understood the changing of the calender year, of course, but not all of the human trappings and frivolity attached to it. What did an arbitrary date mean? But laying in bed in that small London flat, drunken revelers shouting and singing outside the window, she could understand the concept of new beginnings.

Her own lay beside her, one arm thrown casually around her waist, snoring softly. She curled into him, turning to tuck her head beneath his chin. He stirred but didn’t wake.

Not all change was for the worse.

No problem. I'm a oddity in FMA fandom - I think the anime is better than the manga.

And this was nice - I love the image of new beginnings, and of Scar at least sleeping through midnight.
