Whining and Drabble Tree
I am in A Mood today.
I'm not even entirely sure why. I'm not pissed off at anyone or anything, I'm just full of this seething, general anger. I took out as much as I could on my kitchen counters, scrubbing them until they gleamed. And then further by destroying an old wooden TV tray that was falling apart. I essentially just want to break things and scream and commit all manners of violent purging.
And I know have a fuckton to do as far as fandom responsibilities, but I'm just not up to forcing things right now. My writing has dropped to zero, my connection with most characters is almost nonexistent right now, and I'm far too worried about projection to even so much as attempt a drabble. I know this will pass probably as soon as I hit 'post', like always, but venting is good and all that.
Actually, in an attempt to stimulate my brain, I'm shamelessly stealing this from

Multi-Fandom, Anything Goes Drabble Tree
Rules:
- Each entry must begin with the word the last entry ended with. They do not have to connect in any other way, but you can if you want to. Just put notice of the continuation in the subject line.
- Reply to the comment you are following directly from. Ie: if following from my drabble, reply to my post. If you are following to someone following mine, reply to their comment.
- Each entry must be 100 words. Handy Dandy Word Counter found here.
- Since I care not a toss, and I'm hosting it so my word goes, ANY Pairing, ANY Genre, ANY Rating, ANY fandom. Seriously. I don't care. Write whatever appeals to you. My Flist is too diverse to limit this. (Though I'll offer my soul if someone other than me writes an HBC drabble.) :)
- You can drabble as often as you wish, to whomever you wish. Hell, if you like a particular word, you can reply to that one entry as often as you wish.
attilatehbun has a Harry Potter specific one here: I even drabbled for it.
To get started off:
It hadn’t been planned; these things never were. But Shana had been crying so hard, shaking, almost frightening. He’d held her, pulled her close, whispered into her hair to offer comfort. She was warm and hard and still seemingly fragile against him, clinging to him desperately.
It only seemed natural, when the sobs had subsided, to kiss away her lingering tears. To kiss her eyelids and her cheeks and her mouth, to hold her like a lover. She kissed him back, awkward and virginal but painfully wanting.
Even in the midst of their grief, it didn’t feel like a betrayal.
