Past Times With Good Company....
Saturday's wrap-up! It was gray and drizzly again on Saturday, and morning was spent mostly in bed/couch/whatever. Afternoon saw us off to a late brunch! And then shopping, cosplay, Lolita and more!

L enjoyed pumpkin pancakes with fresh whipped cream and a giant mocha thing. Seriously, the food at The Original Pancake House was amazing. I had biscuits and gravy, pumpkin pancakes, hash browns. So good.

We destroyed out food. It was so good.

Look! It is a Fey!

So, Emi took me to this neat little boutique called Got Beauty. And she managed to talk me into buying a vintage-style Betty Paige dress new. I don't buy new clothes. But I justified it by the fact that a) it looked amazing on me and b) my other vintage dress is way too big for me now. So then we went to the DI, which is like Goodwill or Salvation Army. We tried on clothes, I tried three different scales and they all told me I'm 140 pounds (MUST GAIN WEIGHT!) and had a lot of fun just plain goofing off. Emi's a witch!

Emi took this neat picture in the parking lot of a Grocery Store we went to to get stuff for our baking project later. :D It's a ground-rainbow!
Then we went to an authentic Japanese restaurant which was amazing. Emi found out I'd never had Japanese food, and that was that. Food was so good! I let Emi order for me, since I know nothing about Japanese food. :D And I had sake! It was delicious. And I drank smartly and didn't get tipsy or anything.
Then it was back home to bake! DEATH NOTE CUPCAKES! At the thrift store, we'd thrown together a couple of quick Death Note cosplay outfits.

Phear Kira!

Because Kira hates you.

JUST AS PLANNED!

So, originally we were going to do Light and L (Emi=Light, me=L) but I couldn't find a white shirt and the Light wig looked wonky on Emi, so she grabbed her Honey outfit!

Apparently, both Light and Honey need some extra credit in Home Ec.

Emi's roommate, Sarah! Very cool person!

With no toothpicks, we used forks to write on the cookies.

Half god of justice, half sleeping bag!

Candid photos! Cutest Honey ever.

After Emi indulged me in cosplay, we switched over to Lolita! Emi is god of Lolita.

Lolita in the rain!

Beware the evil eyes!

The parasol is not just a fashion accessory.

Look! I'm in frilly things!

I fail at posing on my own.

PHEAR ME!

I actually really like this picture.

Singing in the rain....

Holy cliche pose, Batman!

I really like this picture of Emi.

The lolitas will eat your tasty brainmeats.

Mmm, beautiful creepy lighting effects.

Our breath. Said it was cold!

CUPCAKES OF DEATH!

HALF LOLI! HALF SLEEPING BAG! (This is a down lined parka I bought at DI for 10$, because even my winter clothes were not enough to fight the freezing cold!)

I want to try/own some Gothic Lolita dresses too! They're so pretty! I've only tried dressing up as a schoolgirl once, and that was a borrowed costume.
