...Utena shuddered, the blade of her elegant rapier embedded in the unyielding brick wall that had stopped her attack. She could feel Akio's heat behind her, as though his very passion was a true flame that burned within him. She struggled wit her sword, desperate to pull it free before she found herself pinned against the wall and defenseless. This couldn't be happening! Not to her, the most fierce and proud of all the swordsmen in all the land!

But her blade held fast. Time slowed to a snail's crawl, the moment glittering like a diamond in the moonlight. Utena found herself frozen, her gazelle-like legs unable to move. And then she felt him, Akio's strong, slim hands on her hips. Oh, how she loathed his touch! How dare he put his hands on her? Her, the most chaste of maidens! Her pale, silken flesh was untouched, as pure as steel forged in the fire of the gods and cooled in a mountain stream!

Akio's touch burned. His hands were like two supple bands as they encircled her waist. Her lithesome frame trembled as Akio's lips pressed a kiss that felt like a flame against her neck. Never before had she felt a man's lips upon her porcelain skin. Her body took on a mind of its own, melting back into the strong embrace of the charming man who had captured her in a moment of weakness....

....Suou Tamaki stumbled, is foot slipping on a patch of sewage and sending him sprawling into the fetid mess of the culvert floor. His satin coat was ripped and stained, his silken gold hair was limp and matted, and dark circles rimmed his indigo eyes. He let out a yelp, fear clutching his heart like a tightening vice.

"Get up, you fool!"

Adelheid turned, blood red eyes flashing in anger and distaste. Tamaki struggled to his knees, his china like skin bruised and scraped. He wasn't used to this sort of thing! Just a week ago he hadn't even left his city! And now he was running through sewers with a band of murderous madmen out for his blood, and his only help was a fire-eyed warrior who killed without thought!

Glistening, bright tears welled up in the young Lord's amethyst and sapphire eyes. He only wanted to go home!

And then, like the hand of God reaching out of the clouds, Adel's hand was outstretched to him. Wide eyed and awed, Tamaki looked up, cornflower eyes meeting vibrant crimson ones. The blond warrior's face was hard as it ever was, his handsome features carved in stone. His muscular frame was held rigidly, but his hand was outreached. Tamaki took it and was pulled to his feet, even as he marveled at the calluses on Adel's strong, firm palm. His skin was rough but warm - perhaps, perhaps his soul was the same way....

"I've been bitten!"

Kaylee froze, her heart beating madly in her chest, fluttering against her ribs like a frightened bird. She turned, her caramel curls bouncing wildly, and gasped when she saw Jack's shirt stained with dark, rich blood.

"Here!" The beautiful girl grabbed for Jack's hand, pulling him into the darkness, into a narrow arch where they would be hidden. She could smell the sweat and blood that stained him, hear the ragged rhythm of his laboured breathing. His black hair was slick with dampness, his dark eyes heavy and clouded with pain and determination. Kaylee reached out one delicate hand to touch the stain of crimson that spread across his abdomen, feeling the hard muscles beneath the cruel wetness.

"Lemme see what I can do." The plain spoken maiden went to lift the hem of Jack's shirt, but a strong hand grabbed her wrist.

"I'll be fine." Jack's voice was rough and deep, like smoke and whiskey, and even though she feared for her life, Kaylee shivered. She felt a stirring in her bosom, and she looked up to meet Jack's soulful, deep brown eyes.

"Don't you go lyin' to me," she insisted, but her voice was breathy and light. The terrifying shadows and vile decorations seemed to melt into nothing when she met those eyes, and she felt Jack's fingers twine with hers. it was as though they were connected through more than just flesh. She felt an aura surround her, surround them, embrace both of them in a cocoon of want and need. She reached her hand up, moving slowly like through water, the moment spun like sugar candy between them. Somewhere in the distance, a creature howled as soft fingers brushed against Jack's strong, stubbled jaw....

What an insufferable, terrible, rude, crude, bothersome commoner! Tamaki had had just about enough of Edward Elric! How many more nights were they going to have to sleep on the ground? Or eat berries? And really, would it kill the alchemist to take an actual bath? Dipping oneself in whatever pond or stream happened to be handy was hardly proper bathing!

He simply wasn't cut out for this rough and tumble sort of life. And it was high time that Mr. Fullmetal Alchemist realized that! And Tamaki would tell him, just as soon as he got back from mucking about in hat stream....

Edward had returned. Still damp from his 'bath' and toweling his long hair dry with his shirt. His golden locks gleamed like a filigree mane in the afternoon light. The sun glinted off the shining steel of his automail arm, and his tight muscles pulled and flexed as he bent to shake himself fully dry. Black leather pants clung to lean, athletic hips and hard muscled legs. Each motion was like water, fluid and graceful - a dancer's body with the soul of a fighter.

Tamaki's breath caught in his throat, enraptured by the sight of the damp man, chiseled and sculpted, a statue in flesh and machinery....
