Working 9 To 5....

Dude, Fridays are just not my days. No fun stories from this week, just a mildly-grumpy Fey. Only mildly, because things are no longer hectic and no one has yelled at me over the phone in a good few hours. :D

I had all kinds of video game nostalgia when chatting with [livejournal.com profile] mikazuki last night. As pretty much everyone knows by now, I've been playing video games pretty much my entire life. My whole family is into video games, and there have always been systems and a plethora of games in the household. And the old ones - SNES and PS especially - always hold a very special place in my heart. I find myself going back and wanting to play all the old favorites: Secret of Mana, Lufia, Breath of Fire, Wild Arms, Xenogears, Tomb Raider...

I'm very pleased that most original Nintendo games are out for the GBA, at least.

Alright, back to work with me!

In a good few hours? Were there some earlier? ;P

Games are just fun, that's all there is to it. If you weren't a gamer it might have made things a little more difficult for me. ;) I think we had more fun chatting last night than even usual. Hehehe.

*glomp* I'll get the G3 stuff uploaded soon! Good luck working!

Yeah, there was yelling this morning. It was not a good morning. :/

They are! Nothing makes a fun filled evening like video games! *smooches* And everyone knows that geeky gamer girls are the best. ;)

Wheeee! Thanks. :D Things are pretty slow right now.

Feel better, Fey! At least you aren't home sick like I am. XD And yes. Video games rock lots of socks.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2006-05-05 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! gah, you're home sick? Your throat still giving you trouble? Indeed! Wheee, games!

[identity profile] burningvigor.livejournal.com 2006-05-05 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
By the time I was going to sleep last night, I ended up stuffed up, too. So much for never getting colds! I figured it was all right to stay home, since we aren't doing much at school and I don't want to infect people during exam time.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2006-05-05 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Blegh! I hope you're feeling better now. :/ I know! You jinxed yourself. ;) Ah, yeah, wise idea to stay home.

Video games...

Weee Sounds fun....

[identity profile] chaneystarr.livejournal.com 2006-05-05 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, my original video games consisted of Super Mario brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog, hahaha. But that was waaaay back on the original nintendo and snes and sega.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2006-05-05 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Remember Bubble Bobble? I loved that game....

[identity profile] chaneystarr.livejournal.com 2006-05-05 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, I don't think I had that one, but I've played it since then -snickers-

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2006-05-06 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
I would play that thing for hours. Man, I want to play it now....

[identity profile] chaneystarr.livejournal.com 2006-05-06 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
I would do that with tetris. And mario kart! Which was my favourite game ever! haha :D

[identity profile] mehitabelcat.livejournal.com 2006-05-06 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the new Nintedo is supposed to be backwards compatible for all systems. Some how. I'm not really sure how that's going to work, what with most of them being cartridge systems, but anyway, roxzors!
Also, I have Secret of Mana for an emulator, if'n you're interested.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2006-05-06 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
It is! I've read stuff on it, and you're supposed to be able to play like...everything on it. You can download them directly to the system, or something. Which is why it shuld be called the Revolution, since it's revotionary.

DUDE!!!!!!

[identity profile] mehitabelcat.livejournal.com 2006-05-06 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
I am quite monsterly psyched. Although I wish I didn't have to buy the games again. Of course, I don't have to, I still have my original NES, but still, the principle of the thing.

Wait, was the dude for the new system, or for the Secret of Mana? I am confuzzleded.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2006-05-06 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
I....do not know where my original NES is. :( I found all the games, though!

The dude was for Secret of Mana. :D

(And Hoho bless you for saying 'the new system' instead of its awful awful name.)

[identity profile] mehitabelcat.livejournal.com 2006-05-06 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
(psst i don't actually even remember the new name)

I mean. Whatever are you talking about? :D

I will make an attempt to email the file, and possibly the emulator.
