Goodies!

Heee!

I just got an awesome package from Seattle! Thank you so much! [livejournal.com profile] rivendellrose, thank you for the books. I actually didn't have 'On Writing', but I've been wanting it for a while. I haven't heard of the other one, but it looks like a good one. Thank you! And thanks to everybody for the cards and things, it was a really nice surprise!

It was especially interesting, because today was spent writing! And I have some new smellies now, two of which I haven't tried before. Thanatopsis and Whip! And new imps of Loup Garou - I will never have to buy a bottle of this scent - and Jolly Roger! It turned out to be a very good Friday!

(And if you sent a Christmas card to my Seattle address, I have gotten it now!)

Sounds nice. :) It's fun to get things from friends. *hug*

Yay, glad to hear everything got there okay!

And I'm so glad you didn't have either of them already! I think you'll really like both the books (duh, I suppose, or I wouldn't have bought them for you!), but On Writing is just great - King has such a good sense of humor about himself, which is really what it takes to make a book that's at once memoir and writing advice fly. The other is more a practical guide, but it's got some really great moments, too, if the bits I read are any indication.

How's Jolly Roger? I've always been curious about that scent...

It got here all in one piece!

Nope, I only have a couple of guides specifically for Sci-Fi and fantasy. :D Yeah, I know I'll like King's, I've been wanting to read it for ages. And the other one looks very practical and helpful, which is awesome.

It's nice. It's all rum and salty sea!

Domg... people can send you cards? Wahhh! I wanna send you cards! I'll have to raid an e-cards site, I guess... meh.

Ooo, Jolly Roger sounds interesting! I would think that's something like a sea-breeze-ish like like scent. Uber groovy!

Yay for writing! What sort of things have you written today, I wonder? I haven't gotten anything done, besides being run over a hundred times by the Hiei and Yukina angst bunny. It's like: Write me! Write me! And I'm like: Mehhh, I wrote you yesterday! Can't you take a nap? ...Apparently it can't, because I've given it too long a break. Like... since November long. *blush* My poor siblings...

So yeah! lol What have you written? ^_^

Heheh, I got a box of stuff from my RL friends up in Seattle. :D Cards and notes and some stuff I'd left up there when I moved, plus two books on writing.

Jolly Roger's nice. It's rum and sea water and I think leather. A nice piraty scent!

I wrote a fic for a Harry Potter fic exchange. :D I'm a pinch hitter for a fest, so if someone drops out before writing their assignment, I write it. :D It was a very good one, and I will link to it once the exchange is over. :D I also have a very, very twisted FMA fic bunny that I don't really want to write because the pairing squicks the hell out of me, but it won't leave me alone.

Ohhhh, buddies in Seattle - uber spiffy! I need to get back to that e-card mission of mine. I've been too preoccupied in watching Food Network for the past two hours. lol

Amazingly enough, I never got into HP. Dun impale me! My parents didn't really encourage it, so I didn't bother with the fandom. Seems like I'm the only person who's out of the loop for it, too. *shrinks into a dark corner to whine*

Twisted FMA fic bunny? Ooooo, what pairing? *is eager to know*

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2006-03-04 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yup! My old housemates. :D Heehee. Food Network is awesome!

HP was my main fandom for four years, actually, before I found FMA. I've got close to 300 fics written for it, and countless numbers of drabbles. I'm still active in it, just not as much anymore. :D

Mmmm, I don't know if I quite want to say yet. It's a het pairing, though....

[identity profile] 47thlight.livejournal.com 2006-03-04 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yayz for FN! Who do you like to watch the most?

Domg... three hundred? *dead* I dunno if I've even written that many pieces - ever! *skitters to start counting* One, two, three...

OO! Het pairing! I would try at guessing it, but I'm still counting. ...Seven, eight, nine...

Outta curiosity, what do you think is the most whack pairing you've ever written in any fandom?

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2006-03-04 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
I like... damn. What's that show where the hot chick goes around and has a certain amount of money to spend in one day in a city? I like that one. And Iron Chef. I used to play Iron Chef when I lived in Seattle. I was Iron Chef Fandom!

Yeah, roughly. Maybe more. I have roughly 100 fics for my main pairing in the fandom.

Heehee. I bet you would never guess!

Hmmm. Damn. I dunno, I've written pretty much everything for HP. Nothing seems whack to me anymore. I've written under-age incest, I've written bestiality, I've written mind-control non-con, I've written torture, I've written time travel, I've written cross-overs... I've gotten the most flack for my James/Harry fic and for my Peter/Ron fic, though.
