Humpday!

Scary Go Round seems to have changed its style. This saddens me slightly. I love the comic, but I really liked the old style better. Ah well.

I was playing with the LJ search engine, and it reminded me once again that fandom scares me. Why would you claim to love a canon character, and then create a whole community for re-writing the character the way you want to see her?

It also turns out someone made icons with text from one of my fics, and did not ask me or let me know. And have now deleted their journal so I cannot go poke them about this.

And of course, I have been called perverse by some stranger on the internet, for writing Snape/Lupin slash. I apparently write 'crack worthy of daytime tv'. This amuses me to no end.

I've got Paycheck on in the background - I love this movie, and it's one the few Ben Affleck movies I enjoy - and I have fic I need to write and rooms to clean. I apparently will not be doing laundry, because even though saying 'I need to do laundry tomorrow' does not mean the washing machine will be free.

Wow, in this whole fandom they picked you to accuse of writing crack? That's crazy.

A quick run of the search engine assured me that I am only known to folks actually on my friends-list, and mostly to those I've known in real life. Kind of happy about that.

It was in a comment on a rec of one of my fics. I'm sure they've said the same of others, though they admitted they don't really read fan fiction.

During one of the angry kerfuffles about HBP, one of the R/Hr people went to my journal and read one (1) installment of "World Well Lost"--you know, that historical fic that is up to part 61 as of last night?

Well, the particular part he read (he linked to it) was an explicit sex scene.

So he said that I write like "Danielle Steele" [sic].

He also apparently completely failed to notice that the heroine of the story is a pre-transfiguration TS, which amused me even more.

I am massively impressed with anyone who can write that many substantial installments of a good fic.

*sproffles* That crappy pseudo-historical romance novel chick? I think I read one of her books once and was disappointed with the lack of sex in it. And if they were comparing you, obviously they have read Danielle Steel, and have no right to comment on the quality of anyone's writing.

People are morons.

Is this a paid account feature? cause I can't find it...

It's not an LJ feature, it's independent.
