Got my hair done, and now I am sick. Just the usual monthly illness, but it's still enough to put me out of commission for most of the day.

I went in to get my hair cut and have purple streaks put in. I dye my hair black - it's a dark strawberry blond naturally - and so I had to have the colour stripped before the highlights could be put in. So we do that, and we decide to put the colour all over, to give the black a quasi-purple sheen. Of course, my hair grabs the red in the purple highlights and the colour decides not to be stubborn, so now I've got dark purple/black hair with dark red streaks. I really love the effect though, and I'm happy it came out that way.

I'll have to have zinjadu get pictures when she's down here!

Thank you! It has been everything from blond to red to pink to blue to black, and I really like the purple and red combo. I may keep it for a while. ;D

It really is awesome. And I can do sleek and feminine or shaggy/spiky and boyish with the style. I am very pleased with it. I need to go out and get hair products when I'm feeling better.
