Non-sappy post

So I saw 'The Rite of Luna'last night, and it was absolutely amazing. I can't even begin to put into coherent sentences how amazing it was. The usage of colour, stage direction, facial expressions and costuming was mind-blowing. The musical score blew me away. The way the actors were able to get across all the nuances and subtext that is so prevelant in Crowley's writing was flooring. I literally got chills while watching it. And at the end, as U2's 'Mysterious Ways' played, part of the audience - including myself and [livejournal.com profile] zinjadu were pulled on stage to boogie down with the cast. All of whom were completely approachable and friendly. We're heading back out there today to grab a soundtrack. The man who put this all together and played Pan was so amazing I doubt I will ever forget his performance. He was the epitome of Pan, with that perfect blend of little boy mischief and deep seated cruelty. And his voice was staggering. Taurus and Cancer were lovely and brilliant actors, a perfect counterpart to one another, and the Gemini were wonderful - innocent and childlike with a sense of depravity.

I also think I have a new anime. [livejournal.com profile] nekokoban gave me the first disk of Tactics, and I watched the first episode last night. So far, I like it, and I'm planning on watching more today. Also! Also! I found the first volume for the Utena manga yesterday at our local comic shop! We hit Free Comic Book day, and I popped over to look and see if they had the Tactics manga, and they had the Utena manga. I grabbed it immediately. And the Vampire Hunter D novel comes out tomorrow. And the second FMA DVD is out.

Yes, I am in geek heaven.
