The Weekend's Festivities

'The Rite of Luna' tonight! And next weekend is the Pike Place Cheese festival! I'm really excited about the show tonight, and I hope it's as good as the hype has claimed it is. Speaking of hype, I have never seen such universal hate for a movie as I've seen on my Flist today for 'Kingdom of Heaven'. It seems nearly everyone, despite what their taste in movies is, doesn't like this one. I wasn't planning on seeing it anyway, but I was still surprised!

I have finished for the week with unpleasant RL things. This pleases me greatly. More time to devote to writing, RPing and gaming. And I was social last night! [livejournal.com profile] shadawyn came over, and I talked with her about writing in general and then I got to tie her up on my bed. All in all, I would say it was a good night.

Today I'm hitting Uwajimaya's and Kino's, to grab the first translated FMA Manga and possibly another Sailor Moon S DVD. They're so cheap there that it's almost a crime not to grab one. And there's only three days until the Vampire Hunter D novel comes out! I'm still wibbling over ordering it online and hoping it comes in to Kino's. I may have to ask while I'm down there today. If it is coming in, I can swing by after class on Tuesday to grab it. The next one is coming out in September, so they're working pretty quickly on these. And all the art is Amano. If I had to pick a favorite artist, it would be him.

Alright, time for me to get dressed.

Ha! More reason for me to see Kingdom of Heaven. No one liked Alexander either, but I loved it. So hopefully this will mean I'll love Kingdom too? DAVID THEWLIS ahem..

I did an SCA demo in connection with the premiere at a local theater. The people who saw said it was good overall but very, very, very bloody. I figure I'll see it eventually...

Here everyone loved it. haven't seen it yet myself, but it was well-received. Might be because it portrays the struggle of different religions that try to live together. (We have had some problems regarding that.)
