Adventures in Creativity
I've started my first multi-part fic in a very long time. I'm posting it over at
lupin_snape, and I probably won't be posting it here until it's finished. I may or may not edit and rework it. I actually have a rather extended plot planned out, and there's more action involved than I usually write. Also a lot more thought, as I'm branching out into the realm of wizarding medicine. Which is proving to be both fun and challenging. It should, if I stick to schedule, take me all of April to complete and post. It's not what I usually write, so I'm nervous about it but so far the feedback has been positive. Only the intro is posted so far, but I'm working on the first substantial bit now, and will hopefully have it posted tomorrow.
I'm ploughing through FFI, with one crystal down already. I'm poking through the ice cave now, and still having severe nostalgia. Which will only increase, as
ratzeo has brought down his copy of FFIV for the PS. I am on such a FF kick lately it isn't even funny. I could wax poetic about my first exposure to those games, way back on the SNES, but I'll spare you all.
Tonks fic should be done soon, as well.

Nooo, please share. ;) If you do, I'll regal you with tales of how I played ff2 on the snes, and the first one on nes even. Along with Dragon Warrior, and Crystalis, and Zelda... *grin*
And YAY for S/F fic (yes, I typed something else that starts with 'f' first. *blush*)

Sadly, I missed out on the original FF for the NS, but I'm playing it now on GBA.
Oh! Maybe you can help me here, then! I've been trying to remember this game that my dad played back on the original nes. There was heavy norse influence on the story line, and tarot cards of some sort played a big part. And there were four people in the party, and you saw them all in a string on the world map. There was a big snake thing in the water that I remember very, very clearly that I think was Leviathan. The only guess that has been offered up is that it was the original Ogre Battle, but I can't get any good descriptions of that game online. Any thoughts?

About the original Ogre Battle, which does sound right @ your description. Not sure if you've seen any of these sites, but I thought I'd offer them up:

It's worth noting it was rereleased for the PSX a few years back.
