Even More Snupin
Title: Chocolate
Pairing: Severus/Remus
Rating: R
Warnings: Er...erotic use of a chocolate bar?
Summary: Young Remus really likes chocolate.
Word Count: 733
It was no secret that Remus Lupin loved chocolate. In fact, one would have to be rather blind to miss it. There was always a box of the stuff on his desk or bedside table, and an exploration of his robe pockets would turn up a bar of Honeydukes finest. Sirius, James and Peter were wont to bemoan their friends chocolate ‘addiction’ and in the privacy of their dorm, many ‘that time of the month’ jokes were made. But Remus didn’t care, and made light of his own fondness for sweets.
There was just something satisfying about biting into a large chunk of chocolate. Or sucking on a truffle into it melted completely, leaving its soft center on the tongue. And of all the things to be addicted to, chocolate was rather harmless.
It wasn’t all that strange, at least in Remus’ mind, that his chocolate addiction grew into a fetish as he got older. It was very plain, to him anyway, that chocolate was sexy. It was smooth and sleek and soft and melted in the mouth. It smelled delicious and it could be licked and sucked and nibbled. It was the ultimate erotic food.
He was almost ashamed to admit that sometimes, late at night, he’d run the hard edge of Honeyduke’s finest across his skin. It was smooth and sharp and made him shiver. And then it would be warm when he ate it, warm and soft and slightly salty from his skin.
Yes, Remus Lupin loved chocolate. So it was no real surprise that his attraction to Severus Snape began with chocolate.
It started in late winter. Severus Snape was in the library, tucked away in the back of the room and nibbling on a small square of chocolate. Chocolate in the library was forbidden, but everyone fudged that rule. Remus found his eyes drawn to the crumbs of chocolate that clung to the Slytherin’s pale, thin lips. He licked his own in sympathy, watching as more and more of the soft-looking chocolate disappeared into Severus’ mouth.
Remus reached into his own pocket, pulling out his own square of chocolate. He nibbled at it as Severus licked his lips, tongue gathering up the chocolate around his mouth. Remus bit down hard on his bar, shifting uncomfortably. Severus’ eyes were closed as the last bit of chocolate was swallowed, and Remus decided he needed to visit the loo.
That night, he dreamed of chocolate and Severus.
It was another two weeks until Remus caught sight of Severus with chocolate again. This time it was in the Great Hall and Remus had to be careful. Severus was eating chocolate pudding, and he kept licking the spoon. Remus shot little glances out of the corner of his eyes. He sucked the spoon, too.
Remus had to have some of the pudding, too.
Another month went by. Easter came. Remus was armed with a basket full of chocolate. Eggs and bunnies and blocks and small balls of it. He was never found wanting, and it seemed he wasn’t alone.
Severus Snape was studying potions down in the laboratory. Remus just happened to be wandering by, and looking in the doorway on his Prefect rounds. Twice. The second time, he caught Severus with a crème egg. The egg was broken open, and Severus was scooping out the chocolate goop inside and licking it off of his finger.
Remus stared. He stared open mouth. Severus’ tongue came out of his mouth and licked off the chocolate crème. A little bit was smudged at the corner of Severus mouth. Remus must have made sort of move or sound, because the Slytherin turned, eyes narrowing and hardening.
“Lupin, what are you doing?”
“Uh…Prefect rounds.” Remus swallowed hard. That chocolate crème was still there, taunting him. He reached in his robes for his own chocolate and found his pocket empty. He licked his lips.
“Lupin? What is the matter with you?”
Remus just shook his head. It was chocolate. He took a step into the room, eyes fixed on that one milky chocolate smudge.
“Just…hold still.”
“What?”
But Severus didn’t move, and Remus leaned forward, licking at that one bit of chocolate at the corner of Severus’ mouth. It was warm and soft and slightly moist from the other boy's lips, and Remus felt much the same as he had that one evening in the library.
“Lupin!” The Slytherin jumped back, but Remus had tasted chocolate and skin. “What in Merlin’s name are you doing?”
“Sorry.” Remus grinned, lashes lowered almost coquettishly. “I just really like chocolate.”
