2. I will ramble for at least 100 words about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on what it is.

3. Put this on your LJ, if you are so inclined.

Lucius/Remus.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Lucius/Remus is one of my guilty pleasures. When it’s done right, it can be a really good read. I like my Remus with some inner darkness, and that can play really well against a character like Lucius. I see Lucius as the eternal gentleman, smooth and suave and sleek. But there’s a touch of oil there, too. They both have a darkness, Lucius’ more refined and Remus’ more wild. The idea of Dark Side!Remus has always appealed to me, and Lucius works very well as a catalyst for that. Plus I like dark, angry pairings sometimes, and that fits well.

I like this pairing for the very same reasons.

Marcus Cole/Neroon (B5)

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Now that’s a pairing I can’t really see. I can see Marcus respecting Neroon’s warrior abilities, and his dedication to his people and his beliefs, but a) I am a huge Marcus/Ivanona fan, and b) Neroon’s huge grudge against humans would make the pairing, for me, pretty difficult to pull off. Even though he does have an obvious respect for Marcus, I can‘t see it going that far. Neroon, as I see him, was too hard and cold for Marcus. They have a warrior’s bond that I think would be unbelievable as lovers. But if the right author tackled it….

Ahhh Marcus/Neroon my B5 OTP. I liked the flirting between Marcus and Ivanova but after reading Marcus/Neroon I was enchanted. Heee just if you become curious about the pairing here is they fic archive. http://www.babylon5fanfiction.net/mcnfiction/index.php

I love Jack/Daniel. They have so much affection for one another, I think it would be impossible not to. It’s really clear in the show how their relationship develops and deepens. They’re always there for one another, and the reactions Jack has whenever Daniel is in danger are far more passionate than for anyone else on the team. And their personalities fit together so well, displaying those dynamics that I really enjoy. There’s a really deep love there, and I can see it developing into the love of lovers. It’s right there! I mean, come on! Space-monkey, anyone? So, yeah.

Remus/Severus :)

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Obviously my favorite pairing. And the first pairing I was ever into in the HP fandom. It’s another case of personalities just fitting together perfectly for me. Remus can put up with Snape, and Snape doesn’t have to be anyone but himself with Remus. They’re both old soldiers, they’re both loners in their own way, and they’re both sort of ‘the last’. They go together better than any other pairing I can think of off the top of my head. They’re the pairing I keep coming back to, again and again. I don’t think I’ll ever lose affection for them.

Frasier/Kowalski

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
The subtext that was practically text! Another favorite pairing. I can’t point to enough little buts in the series that practically screamed ‘Fraser/Rayk’. There was such an insane amount of chemistry there, it wasn’t even funny. There’s deep trust, respect, and love between those two, and it allows for so many different possibilities. They love each other. And it’s in a way Fraser and RayV never did. And with the way the series ended….well, I’m not going to go into detail because of spoilers, but I think that sums up pretty much all that needs be said about the pairing.

Remus/Fudge

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that’s one I don’t really want to think about. I see Fudge as completely straight, and Remus as having no interest whatsoever in the man, for various reasons. I can’t actually think of any way I could see that happening, short of some sort of bizarrely construed plan to blackmail Fudge into making the Order legal with scandal threat. Fudge is above all of that, anyway. I can’t see him sleeping with a werewolf if his life depended on it. Well, if his life depended on it, maybe. But it would have to be a dam life threatening situation!

[identity profile] hilarita.livejournal.com 2005-03-26 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there's always the 'werewolf will not kill its mate' plotline. But yeah, it's quite unlikely...

Severus/Evan, of course!

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
We don’t know much about Evan Rosier from canon. We know he was a DE, he took a chunk out of Moody’s nose, he died a year before the war ended, and he was Severus Snape’s friend. Not much to go on, but it actually really says a lot. Especially considering Evan died right at the time Snape turned on the DE. There’s plenty of room for the argument that the two are connected, and was in fact the basis of the one big fic I wrote with that pairing. With those circumstances, it can easily fit in with canon.

[identity profile] tiffangelwings.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well I probably know your feelings on these already. Buuut~~ I'm bored at work. XD;; And don't kill me for doing two.

Shigure/Akito

Sirius/Severus

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Two is fine! :D

As I’ve still really only seen the anime and read the manga that covers what‘s in the anime, I still like to pretend that Shigure/Akito is slashy. ;-) But even though it’s not really, I still enjoy the dynamics of the pairing. Especially with Manga!Shigure. His love and devotion for Akito really comes across, and you can see an almost obsession. Akito is everything to Shigure. But Shigure isn’t weakened or blinded by that, and I really like that. He remains a strong and independent character, even with that burning near-obsession. I really love how the relationship can play out.

Sirius/Severus is one of my other favorite pairings. There’s such anger and passion between the two of them, and it’s the sort that can easily be turned into something physical. Twisted and manipulative and never anything nice, but still. There’s jealousy there, too, I think. Severus jealous of Sirius’ popularity and friends. And no matter what is said, it’s canon that Sirius (and James) were fixated on Severus. Obviously there had to be some reason for that. That pairing can be such an amazing mind fuck that I really just love it. It’s a pity it’s not done very well very often.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Not a fan of the pairing at all. I’m not a big Harry fan anyway, and I don’t like Tonks het pairings, but even without that, the pairing was ruined for me by bad associations. I get really turned off of things if I have bad experiences with them, and that’s one of them. I can’t see Tonks with many men at all, my only current exception being Bill. Harry’s too angry, sullen and emotionally volatile for me to see him with Tonks. Plus I hate cross-gen stuff, so it has pretty much every mark against it for me.

Remus/Sirius.

Or, to be different, Marcus/Ivanova.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Remus/Sirius is one that I have mixed feelings on. I see it as nearly canon, and agree that it is the most believable pairing, but I don’t like how most of the fics are handled. I prefer the pairing to have a darker cast to it, taking into account that Sirius is a young man from a Dark Household, and that Remus is a werewolf. I usually liked OotP fics best, and I tend to link light angst with them. They generally lend themselves to fluff, sadly. I like fluff, just not to the extent that Sirius/Remus is prone to.

Marcus/Ivanova should have been canon. I don’t accept Marcus paired with anyone else, actually. His love for Ivanova was clear and obvious and should not be fucked with, in my opinion. I’m still sort of upset with how that whole thing played out, even though it was fitting in canon. It was the behind the scenes stuff that really bothers me. But it was a beautiful love story, if tragic, and I’ve read some great AUs where things turned out well for them in the end. And oddly enough, I won’t accept Marcus with anyone else but I like Ivanova/Talia.

How about Duncan/Methos?

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
My feelings for Duncan/Methos are a lot like my feelings on Remus/Sirius. It makes a lot of sense, and there’s definitely undertones between the two of them. I’m just not hugely interested in it. I love them both, and I do think they’d suit each other well, I just don’t see Duncan as being ready for that sort of thing with a man yet. But if he was going to have a relationship with a man, it would be Methos. Methos has done everything twice and sometimes with goats, so he’s all set. In a hundred years or so….

How about some het: John/Delenn?

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
John/Delenn is a beautiful, beautiful pairing. They're one of my favorite canon pairings, along with Duncan and Tessa. I absolutely loved watching their relationship play out, and the way they grew from peers to friends to lovers. They fit each other perfectly, and I can't imagine either of them with anyone else. They balance each other in ways that few characters do, and they have a much stronger and deeper love than anyone else on the series. Their love is as close to pure as I think it can come. They are each other's strengths, and I think that both Mira Furlan and Bruce Boxlightener did beautiful job of getting that across.

[identity profile] sandrainthesun.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Beautiful said. That's exactly why they are my B5-OTP.

[identity profile] wilde_stallyn.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm giving everyone the same pairing, so:

Filch/Neville!

[identity profile] evilwildlex.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Hatsuharu/Yuki or Kyo/Tohru. ^^ Either or.

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-03-28 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I really like Haru/Yuki. It's obvious that Haur loves Yuki; he comes right out and says it repeatedly. And Yuki has feelings for Haru, even if they're not exactly the same. Yuki has a calming effect on Haru that no one else does, and there's this huge sense of protection from Haru to Yuki. Haru, I'm pretty sure, would do pretty much anything for Yuki. And I don't know if Yuki really realizes that, which is sort of sad. Haru's a lot more outgoing and comfortable than Yuki, and Yuki needs that stabilizing force in his life. He's very introverted and almost apathetic. Haru balances that out.

I hate Kyo/Torhu. I don't like Torhu much at all, and I am a massive Kyo/Yuki fan. In a relationship, I just see Kyo hurting Torhu without realizing it, over and over again. And Torhu just taking it, and the whole thing being horribly unhealthy. But as I said, I don't like Torhu. I don't like her personality, or how she's the catalyst for absolutely everything. Not do I like characters who's faults are being too nice and too humble. She just comes off to me as a huge Mary-Sue, and I don't enjoy those in canon or fanon.
