Meme and Video Game Rambling

Yes, my folders are alphabetized. And yes, I've lost my lovely Torhu desktop. But the three lovely ladies of Farscape are just as good. I'd never really seen a good picture of Gigi Edgley before getting this desktop. And oddly enough, the gal I went out with last week looks a hell of a lot like her.

Beat Devil May Cry earlier today. DMC was definitely an entertaining game.

The interface was good, even if the camera angles were a pure bitch. I have few complaints about the gameplay itself. Dante was easy to control, couldn't fall off of things (which is important to me-I will still never forgive Kingdom Hearts for that) and targeted enemies automatically. The graphics were quite nice, and the combat was exactly how I liked it. Real time fighting with lots of combo options. The plot, on the other hand.... The plot was pretty much nonexistent, and made all the worse by the constant grammatical errors. Examples: 'the veins from the heart is leading to the door!' 'You want a mother? I can make it as many as you want!'. I still don't really understand what the point of the whole game was, as pretty much nothing was explained (that I could tell) and the dialogue was so badly mangled that what was explained didn't make any sense. I don't understand the demon/brother thing, or Trish's story, the four different universes you travel between and what they have to do with the price of tea in China, or actually the whole random castle you suddenly appear at. But it was fun to play, easy to beat, and a quick game. It took me six and a half hours, altogether.

I've moved on to Beyond Good and Evil, which I'm enjoying so far. If anyone has played The Longest Journey for the PC, it reminds me a lot of that. Which gives it major points, as TLJ is one of my favorite PC games, second only to Fallout 2. I like the interface, I love the world and the story so far, and the graphics are beautiful. I hope to beat it before Saturday, which is when it's due back.

I couldn't find the first .hack game, which made me sad. It may have just been all rented out, so I'm going to be checking back. I also picked up two extremely cheap used games; Timesplitters and Dark Angel: Vampire Apocalypse. More action type games.

Tomorrow I shall be out all day, getting more errands done. Now it is time for bed because I am exhausted.

Thank you. :) It's subject to change pretty much every week, but I am madly in lust with Claudia Black and Gigi Edgley and quite happy to look at them every time I turn on my computer.
