Because I am sick and bored....

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123
3. Find the fifth full sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually nearest to you (We already know you, no use trying to be pretentious)

An Evening At Joes'

"It was a little bit after midnight when Adam quietly snuck back into the Crow Canyon Bed and Breakfast'

And.....

Ask me one question - any one - about my writing, then post this in your LJ so I can satisfy my curiosity about yours.

Lol, first book I grabbed was Poppy Cat loves rainbows. Not exactly 123 pages there.....

erm... there are no full setences in a dictionary. =D

Damn silly dictionaries!

What is the most bizarre thing you have ever written, topic-wise?

And I have no books nearby. Poo.

Most bizarre thing topic-wise.... that's a damn tough one. I'd be tempted to say Passing Through Eternity, but the topic isn't that bizarre, rather the story itself. The Fine Art of Tea and Seduction was more fluffy than bizarre, and I don't know how bizarre Remus dressing in corset and stockings would be considered (Warm Waters and Sins of the Flesh). My fics tend to be very character driven, so the actual topic is pretty hard to pick out, now that I think about it.

I think I'm going to have to say Therapy, in which Severus Snape is forced to see an emotional therapist. I think Snape being sent by Dumbledore to get psychiatric help is about as bizarre a topic as I've dealt with. But then could the actual topic is just emotional instability, which isn't that bizarre. I think I may have to go back to PTE after all, since the topic would be 'hallucinations experienced in the fairy realm'.

And I'm sorry that was so rambling!

No books near by? :-(

Wow, all those sound awesome! Heh, I've written some pretty bizarre stuff in my day, but I'm along the same lines as you. All my stuff is very character-driven as well, so the bizarreness has to do with people's emotional and mental states (like strung out on some crazy drug or just after a horrible/wonderful experience or something).

And alas, no books. I am in my mother's basement, and all her books are upstairs. Weep!

From what I've see of your fanfic, you have a beautiful style. I'm curious if you are working on, or have plans for, original fiction in the future?

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-02-21 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. And yes, I am working on original stuff. I'm working on a few short stories for sending out to magazines over the next year, and I have a massive project I've been working on since the summer. I just have a hell of a time with plot. Mainly constructing it and flushing it out. I've been doing a lot of exercises to help me with that.

What is your favorite of your fics so far?

[identity profile] theladyfeylene.livejournal.com 2005-02-21 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Completed fics? It would either be Wolf, Man and Monster or Necessity is the Mother of Affection. The former because I had a lot of fun exploring Remus' darker side, the latter because I had a lot of fun playing with certain stereotypes and prejudices.
