I'm looking for fics that explore gender identity, rather than sexual identity. Slash/het/gen, doesn't matter. Predominantly looking in the HP fandom, since that's what I read most of, but I'll happily look at Highlander or Stargate fics, as well. I don't mind if sexual identity is a theme as well, but I'd really like to find some fics that deal with gender identity. Any links would be greatly appreciated!

This is more of a gender switch than gender identity, but try "The Fire & the Rose" by Abby and Domina. It's at www.witchfics.org.

My fic Butterfly is more of a crossdressing PWP than a serious exploration of gender, but I thought I might submit it for your approval, so to speak ;-) at the very least, you might enjoy the illustration by lizardspots at the end.

Yup, I'm a part of andropotterist. I'm looking for more fics that take a psychological standpoint on gender identity, since there seems to be a lack where I can find them. But crossdressing PWPs are always enjoyable!

Would that be someting either like Unnatural or A Life More Ordinary? Not that every hermaphrodite story would be one, but those two seem to have Harry and Severus both questioning their identity.

I haven't read either of those, so I wouldn't be able to say. But anything where a character is questioning/exploring/searching for their gender identity works.
