It's Obscene, You Were So Mean, When You Meant Everything To Me...
I needed music while I was packing yesterday, and in a fit of nostalgia I broke out my Voltaire CD.
I first discovered Voltaire when I moved out here, and it was all I listened to in that first month or so. I of course got sick of it. I haven't listened to them since last night.
I forgot how much I love that band. First off, they're Trek fans. Screw the Ocampa and Worf's Revenge are two of the greatest fan songs ever made. The interspersions of Klingon in WR and the various specific references made me happy. And anyone who calls Janeway and ignorant bitch is alright in my book.
Someday when you wake
I'll be two thousand miles away
and you'll be in hell.
I need to put that on an icon. Possibly using the same art for my 'everything's gonna be alright' icon.
But my favorite Voltaire song is 'Raven's Land'. I'm really not sure why, I just love that song very, very much.
And now it's back to packing, with many breaks to check game developments. ;-)

I love Voltaire; my husband and I have actually met him. He is really cool, and his concerts are this neat mix of music and funny stories. One of his comic books, Chi-Chian, is being developed into a movie last I heard.
At the convention where we met him, he told this story about how he was really drunk and there were a bunch of people dressed as Klingons at another convention he was at. He sang "Worf's Revenge" for them and they just watched silently, and when he finished he was getting nervous until one of them said "this song has honor".
