(no subject)

I need happy, fluffy, upbeat fic recs. The sort of fics that just put you in a good mood.

Fandoms:

Harry Potter (obviously)
Due South
Highlander

Humor fics, fluffy romance fics, silly fics, whatever. Just fics that'll brighten up the day.

Thank you!

Very cute werewolf story.
Should still make some sense even if you aren't familiar with the author...

Meh, sorry, feeble shot.

Now I'm not usually a fan of the "Snape as Harry's father" stories but this series is fabulous. Read it and you can't help but have your spirit's lifted.

There's a great fic by [livejournal.com profile] juliatheyounger called Sunrises (http://www.geocities.com/juliatheyounger/HPwarning.htm). It is a WIP and rather long, but I love the angst and awkward sex. It may not be as fluffy as you'd like but Snape is only being a snarky bastard and not cruel. Compared to a lot of stuff I read it feels very fluffy to me. *g*

There's a great very smutty short fic at SnapeSlash yahoo group (http://http://groups.yahoo.com/group/snapeslash) called "A Stroll Before Dying (a little death), Part One (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/snapeslash/message/23981) and Part Two (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/snapeslash/message/24098). Sorry, the author didn't list a website. If you're not a part of SnapeSlash I can email you the story directly. The fic is really hot and ends unexpectedly hopeful. *g*

If you like Weasley slash try [livejournal.com profile] weasleyworship for quite a few good fics.

I do read a lot, but I can't recall any others at the moment. Hope you enjoy! ***hugs***

Okay, humor, huh? Well, almost everything Sarah Noble has written is damn funny, and if you have an odd sense of humor you'll like it. Her stuff is only archived at FF.net (http://www.fanfiction.net/profile.php?userid=239865), but she's a rare find in that place.

I think I told you about Hayseed (http://www.geocities.com/hayseed_24/HPFanfiction_Page1.html) a while ago, but it holds true that her stuff is by and large funny. If it's her more serious stuff there's a generally happy ending that's fairly uplifting. I recomend you start wtih the stuff on the second page of her fanfic. That's the most of the humor stuff.

That's all I can think of for right now. I'm sure you'll have tons of recs pouring in though. ^_^ And I hope you feel better soon, ya? *snugs*

I seem to recall you being something of a Trekkie? If so - I offer you this shameless plug. It's short, it's comedy and it's bound to make you laugh either through humor or sheer badness...*grin*

Shameless self-pimpage

I've got some fics on my site that fit your requirements. The link to the site is: http://republika.pl/ev_vy/ (http://republika.pl/ev_vy/).
And the titles of the fics that might interest you are:
- for Highlander: "Double Trouble, Double Joy", "Ho, Ho, Ho", "The Four Horsemen"
- for HP: "Resilience", "For the Person He Loves"

Not sure you'll find these as funny as I do but:

http://www.schnoogle.com/authorLinks/Maya/Amazing_Bouncing_Rat/

Draco Malfoy gets turned into an evil rat and is adopted by the trio. Very funny.

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/708785/1/

Back in the good old days Snape and Malfoy get detention with the MWPP crowd with Hagrid. Student eating beasts and game of chicken quidditch is played while Snape trips out from an up all night potion he made gone wrong.

http://www.geocities.com/grindylowe/fanfic.html

The title: "Death Eaters at Malfoy Estate" pretty much sums it up.

I second the nomination of Draco Malfoy the Amazing Bouncing... Rat?

I'd also recommend Maya's Badger series: The Professional's Guide to Badgering People (http://www.lasairandmaya.com/badger1.html), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Badger (http://www.lasairandmaya.com/badger2.html), How the Badger has Fallen (http://www.lasairandmaya.com/badger3.html).

Or her A Distinctly Different Manner of Finding Prince Charming. (http://www.lasairandmaya.com/charming.html)

A heck, I'd recommend anything Maya's written (http://www.lasairandmaya.com/mayafic/). She always leaves me giggling.

Ok, if it is not too late, then I never resist the occation to pimp myself. There is a bit of angst there too, but fluff reigns all over. Just go there. (http://www.skyehawke.com/archive/story.php?no=2692)

You know, I don't think I've read or seen any Highlander humor/fluff, *ever*. Weird.

Hope the other recs cheer you up!
