Drabbles!
More Summer Themed Drabbles. Three Harry Potter, and one Halfblood Chronicles. I was asked to write some HC slash a while back, and never got around to it. So here we have it, for the six of you who give a damn about it. And for those of you who do read it, Kyle was an extremely minor character. He was Denelor's apprentice, and was described as looking remarkably like his Elven father.
And now, on to the drabbles!
Remus didn’t mind the summer months like most did. Even in late August, the dungeons were pleasant and cool. Especially the stone floor. Smooth, polished stone was really remarkably comfortable. Much more comfortable than any rug, at any rate. Remus enjoyed the cold slickness of the worn stone under his back and, the way it kept him from slipping when Severus was driving into him particularly roughly, and the way he couldn’t grasp it with his fingers no matter how hard he tried. The floor was much better than the bed for making love, at least in the summer months.
Severus always looked forward to the summers. Not because of the end of school, he actually enjoyed school quite a bit. Not because he was going home to his family, he actually hated his family quite a bit. A part of it was because he’d be free of Potter and his gang for two blessed months. Though that was certainly nice. But summer was when he was free to visit Diagon Alley. And a small flat above the Leaky Cauldron where a platinum haired adonis liked to lounge about in nothing but a black satin dressing gown. Waiting for him.

The Burrow was always so sticky in the summer. Everything sweat. The people, the wood, even the walls seemed to sweat. But it was okay, because Ron decided he didn’t mind sweat. Not when it was Harry, and Harry was slick from….well. You know. Harry looked good with his slim body gleaming in the late afternoon sunlight, when there was just a thin sheen on his skin. He liked the way Harry’s back slid under his hands, the way Harry’s shoulder tasted just a little bit salty, how Harry seemed to glide against him. Summer was best for….well. You know.
Summers in the Citadel were hell. Zed had been rather certain that he’d read something about caves being cool. Whoever had written that had been sadly misinformed. The heat sank into the stones, and made the caves an oven. But it was alright, at night. Kyle came by, and it was never too hot for that. And that was only ever done in the late evening anyway, when the shadows were long and Zed didn’t bother with a mage-light because all he wanted to see was white skin, pale hair and green eyes. All he wanted to see was Valyn.

You really should write more Harry/Ron.

I don't really particularly adore Lucius/Severus but read it anyway. The mental image of Lucius was VERY welcome, and I love the lines
"Not because of the end of school, he actually enjoyed school quite a bit. Not because he was going home to his family, he actually hated his family quite a bit."
XD XD XD Hurrah for parallel structure.
Strongly dislike the Ron/Harry pairing, but read it anyway as well. I liked the "... well. You know" theme. XD
*lol to the last* I love how the other three start out with "Yay for summer!" moods, and the last starts out with "Summers in the Citadel were hell". That was an awesome contrast. And the "white skin, pale hair and green eyes" is such a nice imagery. ^_^
Do you ever write for Harry/Draco (or D/H)? I'd love to read that sometime. XD

I actually don't write D/H. I just have no interest in the pairing whatsoever. I prefer the boys with Ron. ;-)

^^;; Aw, what a pity. I have no interest in Ron being with anybody. x_X He's like... a comical character for me, or a good sidekick, and he is nifty-- after book five, I actually like him more than Harry, whereas up until book 3 or 4 I could hardly stand him-- but I can't seem to like him with anybody. I understand the popular H/R fans, but it does absolutely nothing for me. x_x Despite being such a slash fan, I like the chemistry with R/Hr, surprisingly.

For some reason, I just don't see any chemistry between Harry and Draco. I see it between Draco and Ron, though. The Harry/Draco relationship, in my eyes, is really pretty apathetic. Whereas, in my eyes, the Draco/Ron one is more fiery and driven. I've always loved Ron, and I really only began to like Harry around book 4 or so.
R/Hr has great chemistry. I actually wrote a R/Hr peice once, and I can't for the life of me find it now. :-( It was a gift for an old beta.

See and there's just something about Lucius that comes to me with hardly any effort at all. I mean, I'm not an evil person (at least I don't think I am) but something about him just flows easily with my creative talent. 'S weird. But Severus, the oh-so-guarded double agent, has something about him that seems allusive to me. I can never quite pin it down.
Funny how people track with different characters isn't it? ^_^
