House Compatibility Quiz

If there was ever any doubt that I am a Hufflepuff through and through:

I took the House Compatibility Test.

I got 94 compatible with Hufflepuff.

Gryffindor was 76, Ravenclaw was 67, and Slytherin was 18.

Watched Lost in Translation last night. I was extremely glad I got it. I loved the movie. I love movies/books that showcase other cultures from an American POV anyway, but this just blew me away. The acting was amazing, the cinematography was brilliantly done, and it just really hit all of my buttons. I could go on and on and on, but I suggest seeing it for yourself if you haven't already.

I got a request to archive my Remus/Severus fics today. I actually went and counted and realized I've written 27 fics/drabbles centered on that pairing. They're all scattered around, sadly, because I am lazy and forget to update my my site. I finally went and added a bunch of my fics to my memories a few weeks ago, before they were lost in hundreds of backposts.

Fandom Love:

I'd just like to say a few things about the awesome things in this fandom. I have met some amazing people through the HP fandom. Amazing people. I would list them here, but there are far too many. But my closest online friends have come from this fandom, and I am eternally grateful for them. Even the ones I don't talk to on a regular basis.

The fic and the art. There are some fucking amazing writers and artists in this fandom. And I bow before the artists and grovel at their super talented feet, because I cannot even draw stick figures. Ask [livejournal.com profile] rivendellrose, she can tell you. I have a huge list of bookmarked fics that I couldn't begin to count. The level of quality entertainment in this fandom is staggering.

The people I RP with. I am lucky enough to be able to RP with some of the most talented RPers I have ever come across. The level of play in the games I belong to is really staggering. The ability to be so IC, and yet so different and original is one I don't come across often, and to have no one, but two games that are....

So that's my little contribution to the fandom love. I suck at expressing myself. Seriously, go spread it.

It's good to be hearing a bit of love for the fandom for a change. Lately, there's been a lot of...unpleasantness where it's been concerned.

Man. Y'know, without you, and the Society for the Ethical Treatment of Peter Pettigrew, and your Peter Slash archives, I would NEVER have gotten into Peter, and as such I wouldn't have met some of the great people I did. I don't know if you know it, but your writing had such a big impact on me back when I was a newbie at ff.net. I'd been around for about 3 months writing Harry/Ginny and Crookshanks/Hermione, and then I discovered your writing and I think, like a few other stories I can mention, it improved both my fandom acceptance of slash, as well as the way I write.
