(no subject)

I hae discovered that there are some words that I will never spell right. No matter how many times I'm corrected, no matter how many times I look them up, I just can't get them right on the first go.

I am hoping to have my latest download finished by tonight. It's been stuck at 54% percent for like a day. I'm starting to get a tad bit aggravated.

I have realized that the narrator of Wizard People, Dear Reader sounds like a cross between Lewis Black and the narrator of 'A Christmas Story'. Highly bizarre combination.

One fic done, two to go.

And I've spent the past two hours looking over astronomy websites. It's actually really fascinating stuff. Of course now I can't decide if the character in question would have any credit for astrology as well.

And thank you everyone who offered to beta my fic for me, my usual beta got back online last night and was able to give it the go over! Long live English Majors, that's all I have to say.

I watched an episode of Dark Angel last night. Jessica Alba may look great, but she can't really act all that well. Or she couldn't. I forgot how much I like the premise of the show, though. It's too bad I only have one episode on tape. I'll have to look into downloading some more.

If I ever finish this one. :/

Hee! I so hear that! I cannot, for the life of me, remember how to spell embarrass or occassion (I have no idea if either of those spellings is correct or not). I set up Word so it automatically corrects the spelling of both words whenever I type them incorrectly. Bless you, Bill Gates. ;-)

Embarrass is one of mine, too! And enviroment.

Oh, thank you for mentioning the auto-correct, I'll have to look into that! I didn't know that was an available feature. *Goes to fiddle about with Word*

Oh, it's a great feature. I use it all the time when I'm taking notes for work. I have it set up so I can use all kinds of shorthand and it automatically fills in the words for me. Like b/c for "because" or w/ for "with." Saves me *loads* of time.

I've noticed that a lot of people have those signature misspellings. I probably do, as well, but like you said... we never see them ourselves. I do know that a lot of -bly's end up as -ble's for me, though, and spell-checks never catch up on that. I'll say this though... on IB, you're pretty much the only one from whom I haven't discovered the signature word. :-p

As for Dark Angel... I very much loved the first season, but then it all went to hell. Which is a shame, because I loved the premise of the show, too. I was just hit with the "Oh, wow. This is *different*" hammer back when it first came out.

*Feels proud* I try to remember to spell check absolutely everything I post at the games, because I know that I am an absolute shit speller. There are probably three or four typos in this comment alone. *hugs spell check on comments feature*

It really was such a different show. And I love plot-lines that have anything to do with genetic manipulation and/or enhancement. It's too bad it started to suck, because the first season was awesome. At least that I can remember.
