The Waves Roll In....
Wow, being sick really put me behind on con-prep. Especially since we leave Friday morning. O.o
But I got my staff fully sealed, and in a few hours I should be able to paint it. I can't find my red fabric for coat lining, but I have time to find that. Also, my plain white ruffle trim. I thought I knew what box they were in, but apparently I was very wrong. Though at this point, I am not holding my breath on the Dante and Rose ball gowns. It'd be awesome in they were done, and I really hope they are, but it's a lot of work and there's still material needed and if worst comes to worst I will go to cosplay prom as Lust. I do have a fancy Lust dress, and my wig and gloves. (And not the artbook dress, either, it's this awesome vintage 50s style red shimmer dress.) Contingency plans, I has them!
I'm trying to get my goggles done today and my staff sealed and painted. I keep having to take breaks for cramps that just will not die. Nothing else is really wrong at this point, but there's this band of dull aching pain that I can't shake. It's making getting physical activity done difficult. But at least I won't have it for con! Which will be wonderful, because last con I had it so badly I don't even remember the con.
I know I went to the rave and I know I met the VA I wanted to, but I don't really remember it. All I actually remember was hanging out at the house of someone I didn't know, who wasn't home, and smoking a massive blunt with HB, Sister Sexy* and Big Gay Al*. And that it was BGAs first time, and he kept saying how honored he was that we had invited him and thanking us for the experience.
I really was not looking forward to repeating that kind of experience again, especially at PCC. I had fun at that last con (I don't even remember the name of the con! Or where it was!) but not in the way I generally like to enjoy my cons. There was very little actual con activity. I just couldn't do it. I wandered around out of it and so out of my mind on medication that I couldn't even tell you who I met or hung out with. I was ridiculously worried that if my period was on time (which it rarely ever is, so why was I worried?) I'd have it for PCC.
Of course, for last con, we didn't even have a hotel room or passes. We slept at that person's house - they just had a giant con crash room - and borrowed badges or just...walked passed lack security. I wandered into the freaking rave without even realizing it, but hey, Pokerave!

*Sister Sexy is a con friend who got her name from this nun cosplay she does. BGA is also a con friend, who used that moniker on himself so I figured it'd be his online ID name when I talk about him.

Meantime, hope everything else is going good for you hun, and especially hope that your illness is moving off a bit. You definitely don't want to be ill at the con! And really sorry haven't got to mail you back the rest of my replies yet, just been hectic trying to catch up with everything/everyone since I went AWOL yeesh. It's one of those times wish we had a big red button that would auto-send emails/do chores/etc after being ill, then we'd be caught up again in no time lol!
For now I'm off to catch up some posts, got 2 RPs and 6 charries to post out ugg! Still hoping you drop by Sempra, let me know if you want to lurk and I'll send you out the invite k? (or just head to YG and look it up and join, that works too heh). Remy sure could use a few friends to play with now that he's been kidnapped back into 'service' hehe! ;P
