So...anyone on my Flist who's in damned still need NS plans? I've got a couple of characters with nothing to do! That would be two lovely ladies (Eileen and Naomi) and one somewhat patronizing elf (Valyn). :D Naomi's been posted already and is in the FA hall, Eileen and Valyn haven't been posted yet and can be sent anywhere. :D

And I really want people to wander into my monster sections. Every time I see a bathroom post I get so excited, and then realize it's not one of my bathrooms.

Well, clearly whatever weird funk I was having has passed. Which is always good. I'm even almost tempted to return to AIM. We'll see, though.

Last night I got to missing Harry Potter RP and fic again. Every so often it hits me, but last night it hit me hard. I was watching the third movie, and I got so damn nostalgic. To the point where when I woke up, the first thing I wanted to do was call my sister. But then I remembered it was Sunday and weekday mornings are best for calling her, so now I'm just sitting here considering going and reading some Snupin fic.

I've been having these bouts of nostalgia. Last week, it was for the old Dragon Riders of Pern RPs. Which I haven't been a part of in...seven years maybe? I don't know if it's just because my birthday's coming up or what, but the trips down memory lane have been more frequent and very, very strong.

I don't know. It's not like my current interests are waning any. I'm still very strongly into Silent Hill, Venture Bros and HBC. And yet....

Well, we'll just see what happens.

Oh, Dragon Riders of Pern RPs...good times. It was the first fandom that I actively participated in (I'd been reading fic for ages, but that was the first time I wrote), and also the first fandom where I knew someone in my RL who was also into it. A bit of a watershe moment. Every now and then I pull up the few post logs I have, which always makes me laugh because wow was I all about the drama (I blame growing up watching General Hospital for the melodramatic plots...really, I do).

Yeah, that was pretty much my first fannish exposure, too. Way back when it was all snail mail done. Holy crap, that was a long time ago. A RL friend got me into it! Oh man, yes, the drama. SO MUCH DRAMA! I had so many damn Candidate characters, too...

If I remember correctly, I was all about the tragically gifted Harpers with mysterious family backgounds.

Yeah, not saying I was proud of it, but it was a heck of a time.

My RP was through an internet mailing list, and a few years ago I went back to look it up and found it didn't even exist anymore. Which, on one hand, shouldn't have been surprising, but on the other hand, was. It seemed so big and well-organized at the time, but I suppose that's the way of the Interweb.

H-hooray! :D Then, maybe kanpekinasenshi/Seiya can make friends with Eileen? Since they're ladies, they could meet in the hall for the women's block. Seiya's outfit might at least be a reason to strike up conversation... Seiya'd be looking for someone to travel with, too. ♥
