Whoot, feeling better now. Mainly because I've got some things to be feeling better about!

Went grocery shopping today and splurged a bit. But that's because it's Super Bowl Sunday, and I'm probably going to a party and want to bring stuff. Got little smokies, cheddar dogs, the stuff to make salsa, that kind of thing. I'm trying homemade salsa for the first time. I want to test it out now, to make sure I can get it right. I'm using store bought now, but when I start making it to sell, it'll be all garden fresh straight from Silent Hill.

...there's something wrong about that sentence. ;)

I also got paid today. Monthly type thing, not terribly much, but enough to cover rent and whatnot and leave me some extra. I'm thinking of splurging on a bookcase for the living room, and maybe even a couple of new books. Possibly some new knobs for the bathroom cabinets, we'll see. ;)

I'm just very, very happy I can pay my rent. And maybe I'll even give The Girl a buzz and see what she's up to this week. Or Nikk or Arynn. Actually, I have to call one of them anyway to see what's up this weekend.

I'm hoping to finish chapter 2 of my Epic today. I'm still wibbling on a title, but it's narrowed down to just a couple now. I'll probably get

chocomimi's opinion, as she's my beta/editor/idea wall for this. :D

And thanks to everybody who commented on my last entry. I really do feel a lot better, and I'm not going to let that bother me anymore. I've got an awesome Flist. *hugs all around*

There is! There's three of them, actually. :D One in the square, one at the college, and one in PV. I may do the college one, since I've got buddies there who could possibly drum up some business for me.

There's a farmer's market right up the street from us, but I am too lazy to make stuff to sell at it, so I will just continue with my commissions.

From what I've seen, you're doing very well with your commissions! When I've got the spare cash, I know where I'm going for custom lolita stuffs. ;D

Yes, I am very backed up with commissions, sometimes I want to pull my hair out. But then I remember I am getting paid, so its not so bad.

I hope you won't think I'm being out of line or rude with this question, but out of curiosity, what sort of pay do you get? Not like, amount, but source? I remember you saying you've tried to get on disability and the state's been a big bunch of pricks about it, so you weren't able to get it. (Sorry, I'm nosy, and also investigating sources of income for myself in case what PP is trying doesn't solve my own problems.)

It's basically out of a fund my folks set up. We'd been using it to pay my ridiculously high insurance for the last few years. But this month I dropped COBRA and am going on ACCESS, since I qualify. So because of that, there's $500 left over a month that's going to me for rent and whatnot. So that gives me rent and utility money, and groceries, and a bit left over for whatever. It'll at least get me through until I get my Farmer's Market table.

Ah. All right- I was wondering. I didn't mean to sound all up in your business. XD; I'm glad your folks can and will do that for you. ::HUGS:: ♥ Good luck on the table with the farmer's market!

Yeah, disability is a bitch and a half to get on. I'm not sure if it'd even be an option for me if the MHMR, the PP, and the Health-For-All clinics can't go far enough to help me. :/ They need to update the system to realize that there are people who need help that aren't paraplegic and/or don't have kids. Everything's geared towards extreme disability or people with children. FAIL, GOVERNMENT, FAIL.

It is seriously a pain. But my roommate's mother is an insurance agent, and she knows a lot of people, so...we'll see what happens.
