I thought Sliders was a pretty good show, the first two seasons. Then it started to go down in the third season, because of the producers' idiotic moves (or rather, David Peckinpah's decisions. Firing Wade's actress because she wasn't hot enough? WTH?). I don't mind magic and vampires, but they have to be rational (yes, there is such a thing :P), and portrayed in a serious manner with an alternate history that's detailed, not just look like they're spoofing the movies of the summer.

I haven't seen the parallel universes concept used a lot on television, except for an occasional episode on Stargate or another series, which is a shame, since it really is one of the most interesting concepts on television.

Seasons 4 and 5 on Sci-Fi were okay, but they changed too much. There were only a few episodes, like 'California Reich', that really hearkened back to what Sliders was about. And Quinn made the show, so when he was written out because of contractual disputes, it really took away from the storyline. Mallory didn't cut it, and it was idiotic, the way he almost didn't care about the man stuck inside him thanks to some experiment. Have some compassion, you freak.

Maria's making friends with Darth Vader

Wow, Maria and Darth Vader! That ought to be something. Maybe Maria can finally tear his attention away from that bore Padme.* ;) I can only hope Maria can come back from death in this one (as in SH2), 'cause if he accidentally kills her, we know what'll happen: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" ;D

(Just kidding, Padme fans. I like Padme. :D)
