She didn’t dress provocatively. Rather than slinky gowns and short, tight robes she preferred t-shirts and loose trousers, large brown boots and floor length jackets. She wasn’t particularly slim, she was more rounded and curved and didn’t care. She didn’t move gracefully in the least, hardly able to cross a room without knocking into something or tripping over her own feet. But it didn’t matter; she still set his blood boiling.

It didn’t take much. Remus would sit and watch as she spun quickly to avoid a trip, her brown jacket flaring out to show her rounded calf in her green snug trousers. He’d watch from the bed as she bent down to pick up the dirty laundry, the edge of her t-shirt pulling up and the seat of her trousers molding to her full bottom. The thin swath of lightly tanned flesh between her shirt and belt were enough to set his heart racing and his temperature rising, even without the inviting curve of her arse in her jeans. He could see the edge of her plain cotton knickers just over her jeans and he couldn't help himself. He couldn’t stop himself from looking as she leaned down, the neck of her sleeveless shirt falling outwards to give him a perfect view of the twin swells of her ample breasts inside her plain black brassier. He could feel them against his palms and he needed to splash cold water over his face.

It had never been for lack of physical attraction that he had ever put her off. Quite the opposite, he could feel his skin sear when she brushed against him. Even when she was gone he could feel each bit of her body in his hands. His palms itched to touch her.

It didn’t dull with time, either. The first time he took her to bed, peeling away layer after layer of multi-colored clothing he had thought his skin would burn off. Everywhere she touched him was hot. The fourth and fifth and sixth and seventh time she still set him on fire. She had hot coal in her fingertips and brands in her lips. She wasn’t a particularly skilled lover - she spoke often, laughed, got her hair caught on buttons and fell out of the bed on two different occasions - but it didn’t matter. Her lips were like peppered candy, her skin was warm cotton and he wanted to be burnt.

Remus admitted the heat she brought out in him and in jest she turned her hair flame red for their lovemaking, her fingers leaving no inch of his skin untouched. She’d laughed at the blush that rose from her explorations, and used her teeth to redden his skin with a smile.

Clumsy, silly, round and goofy, Tonks was perfect to him.
