Fuckwittery Abounds!
After a chat with
zinjadu, it has been deemed that the word of the day is 'fuckwittery'. Because there have been so many damn examples of it today.
It started with an angry email from someone I didn't know accusing me of something (at this point, I'm still not sure what) that I had no knowledge of. This was a scathing letter calling me all manner of names and such and such. Didn't recognize the email, the name, IP address, anything. So I politely said 'I think you have the wrong email address, yadda yadda'. Got a response yelling at me for trying to get out of my well deserved punishment (which made my mind go kinky places) and such and such. I again respond with 'er, no, I really don't know you and don't know what's going on.' and get a flippant 'yeah, sure, we'll see tomorrow on the boards!'
Now, the only boards I post on are my Neopets guild boards. And no one on that site has my email address, nor is there any sort of drama at all there. I am very confused. About half an hour later, I get an apology, because yes, I wasn't the person they were trying to reach.
*headdesk*
Then we have the serial survey poster. If I see another 'why do you like slash fan fiction, I am a student so my survey is valid and can be posted in every single community ever with no attention to the rules' post, I will scream.
The next example of fuckwittery is my own. In playing with my shiny graphics program, I accidentally killed the project I was working on. It was a sad, sad day. I was angry and not happy, to say the least. But thank goodness for the 'undo' button. All was saved, and the peasants rejoiced.
I am counting GJs new comment features as fuckwittery, because the new format for commenting with a different username makes my brain hurt. I've ended up typing my password for my username about five times now.
Neopets was full of fuckwitty today, but that's normal.
And today's lesson has been 'I am intolerant of intolerance'. Which intend to put on an icon. I am relatively laid back, and don't give much of a fuck what people think/like/write, nor do I do care when people don't like what I like/write. (
tiffangelwings and I had a very good discussion about this a while ago.) Basically, if people are going to flip out on me over shit that doesn't matter (rice kripsies anyone?), whatever. No skin off my teeth. I have my pairing preferences, you have yours. Seriously, no need to be an ass about it.
Cereal for everyone!

And now he's trying desperately to save himself - as desperately as I'm trying to remember the actual circumstances of Narcissa's kidnapping. So much fun to refer to events that happened before I played either character.
no subject
Basically, she was kidnapped to use as a bargaining chip against him. Insofar as I can remember.

That's what I remember, too, but I can't remember if there was a specific precedent for what Remus did.
no subject
Well, Remus and Nacrissa were aquaintances of sorts, and he fostered that mainly so he could kidnap her. But I really can't remember the exact situation.... now I'm going to be digging through back logs.

You'd think that would be obvious, wouldn't you? But no, people have to get al bent out of shape over the dumbest things. I mean, why they hell do people take it as a personal affront if your kinks aren't the same as theirs? It doesn't invalidate their preferences, or pass judgment on them, it just means that different people have different tastes.
I don't care if you think your fandom is better than mine. I don't care if you think your OTP is more valid than mine. I don't care if you think fanfic is a waste of bloody time. You go play in your sandbox and I'll play in mine, and we'll all be happy, 'k?

Gah, the people who think fan fic is a waste of time bother me. It's none of their business what I find fun. It's not like I'm shooting up crack cocaine or whatever.
