nakia_winere's fic Verification is one of those. As I'm sure you've figure out by now, angtsy Sirius/James is a guilty pleasure of mine, and Nakia has their voices down perfectly. It's a purely character driven peice, but it's well written and beautifully emotional without going over the top. I consider myself very, very lucky to be working on a piece of fiction with Nakia, and I urge you to check out Verification.
